you'd been walking for a while talking about anything and everything from both of your jobs to which was the best harry potter book

'it's prisoner of azkaban' you say 'there's no way you think order of the phoenix is the best, it's too long but it feels like nothing even happens it took me months to read it'

'well it took me just over an hour and there's too many plot holes in prisoner of azkaban like why save buck beak when you can go back and save actual people like his parents, although that could open a whole can of worms and complicat more things, see it's too confusing' spencer says

'you make a good point there' you laugh

'you don't seem like you'd be a harry potter kind of person y/n you seem to cool, or like someone who only watches the movies because they have a crush on draco' spencer says

'oh believe me i was the biggest harry potter nerd when i was younger, i'd always get in arguments with  these boys at school who would say star wars was better' you laugh

'i'm gunna have to agree with those boys' spencer said chuckling

'noooo spencer nooo, i can't lie i'm feeling very betrayed' you both laugh and keep walking 'where is this place that we're going to' you ask

'just abit further, believe me it's worth the walk' he says 'my co worker penelope showed me this place once when i was shot in the leg and couldn't go on the field for a while and i had to stay here with her and we would get it every time the others were out on a case'

'you were shot?' you say 'oh my god'

'oh believe me in my line of work getting shot is a pretty regular thing' he starts giving statistics on how often people get shot while on the field until he says 'oh look we're here' he says gesturing to the food truck infront of you, across the food truck was a seating area with all wooden chairs and tables and above was fairy lights that were hanging across from the buildings beside the seating area, spencer orders you both a burger and chips, you offered to pay but he insisted and you both sit down across from eachover on one of the tables.

'spencer this place is incredible' you say still taking it all in 'way better then any flashy event i've been to'

'i know right, i always come here even if i'm not eating just to read or think, im surprised it's not more popular, i'm normally the only person here' he says

'not anymore, i'm definitely gunna be coming back here, if i can find it' you laugh before starting to eat your food

spencer's point of view

after you both finish you still and talk for a while, it feels easy talking to her, even though the two of you seem so different you get along so well.

it seemed like only minutes for the two of you but when he looked down at his watch it had been hours

'oh my god we've been sat here for three hours' he says

'no way, oh my god i've got an interview for another job tomorrow i need to get home, i'm so sorry' she says starting to get up 'thank you so much for all of this it was great'

'no problem, do you need to get a cab home?' he asks

'oh no it's fine' she says checking the road sign 'i only live acouple streets away'

'let me walk you home then' he says nervously

'are you sure, you've already done so much-'

spencer interrupts 'i'm sure, it's no problem i'm walking the direction anyway, and there's no hurt having a fbi escort right?' he chuckled as they both start walking

'so' y/n says 'what made you want to join the fb-' before she could finish her sentence there was a flash

'what was that?' she asks

'it must've been lightning i think there's a storm coming' he said looking up at the grey clouds

the two of you start walking faster to try to avoid the storm while he answers the question she asked before they start feeling a little rain which was quickly becoming heavy rain

y/n's point of view

spencer took off his jacket and put it over both of your heads to try to protect yourselves abit, you laughed as it wasn't doing a great job.

'atleast you tried' you said laughing

'it's the thought that counts, here' he said as you both stopped walking as he gave you it to put on 'need to protect that beautiful dress, even if it's only a little bit' he laughed keeping eye contact with you as he held it while you put your arms through it, once you did he broke the eye contact and looked at the front of the jacket as he pulled the two sides together 'there you go' he says looking back up you hands still on your jacket

you giggled as his wet hair flopped down onto his face

'what?' he said laughing

'let me help you there' you say as you put your right hand on his shoulder near his neck and your left hand to gently push the hair back, although your eyes are on his hair you can feel his on your face and you feel your cheeks go abit red, oh god, i hope he doesn't notice

before you can do anything more there was a bright flash again and the moments ruined as the two of you pull apart

'we should probably start walking again, before we get struck of anything' he says

the rest of the walk to your apartment was silent, all you heard was the rain around you until you reached your apartment building

'this is me' you say turning towards him smiling 'do you want to come in, the rains getting really heavy' you ask

'oh no it's fine, but erm could i get your number?' he says scratching the back of his head

'course' you say, the two of you exchange numbers and spencer's about to leave when you say 'wait here two seconds i'll be right back' you say

you go to your apartment and grab your yellow umbrella and head back out 'here, this is what most of us use to protect ourselves from the rain, not you know, jackets, speaking of' you start to take it off to give it back

'don't worry about it, i have your umbrella you have my jacket, we're equal' he says smiling and taking the umbrella from your hand  'i'm gunna head off'

'okay, bye spencer' you say

'goodbye 'y/n' he says before walking off and you head into your apartment

you take off your wet clothes, have a warm shower, get ready to go to sleep and get into bed excited for the next day to come

little did you know what the day had to bring...
