Olivia's POV

If you asked me a few weeks ago what I would be doing this Friday, I would probably tell you that I'll be on the couch, doing absolutely nothing. Maybe I'll be watching reruns of Glee or just do what I normally do on Friday. Which honestly, isn't anything special. Maybe I'll be on set of hsmtmts, finishing the last few episodes and adding the final touch to Season 2.

All I can tell you is that my response won't be: "Scrolling through YouTube and watching covers of Drivers License."

It was my first single, and I've never expected it to blow up overnight. I went from "that girl who plays Nini in hsmtmts" to "that girl who sings Drivers License." It's honestly all really overwhelming. I'm not prepared for the fame, and there are times when I don't know what to do with it.

Another video came up on my homepage, recommending me another cover of Drivers License. I couldn't help but catch my breath when I saw her face. Her h/c hair flows down her shoulder in soft curls and her e/c shows so much enthusiasm. I clicked into it without another thought, watching as the video loaded up.

The girl started the video, a huge smile on her face. She was sitting in front of a piano, the camera angled so that the piano and the girl could be seen. "Hey everyone! My name is Y/n in case you're new to my channel. I'm back with another cover! This time is the song Drivers License by the one and only Olivia Rodrigo! Her voice is absolutely breathtaking." Her voice turned a little serious as she continued talking. "Honestly guys, go stream that song. I have had it on repeat ever since it came out."

"Anyways," she chuckled. "A lot of you have requested this and I'm absolutely obsessed with this song, in case any of you can't tell, and sorry for all of you who followed me on tik tok. I swear I'll post something else soon." Y/n chuckled again and I couldn't help but smile as well. "My tik tok is shown in the description below if you're interested in that and I should probably stop myself before half of this video becomes my rambling. And you guys all know how horrible I am at editing videos so that's out."

I laughed again as she cut herself off. This girl is too cute to be true. "Anyways, before I can get off topic again, I want to say thank you to every one of you who ever comment and like my video. And extra thank you to those who take their time to subscribe as well. I love you guys!" She blew a kiss to the camera with an adorable grin on her face before concluding her speech. "Okay guys, let's dive into it!"

For a girl who's awful at editing, her transition was awfully great, I couldn't help but notice. The first screen faded and another similar one appeared, the words 'Drivers License By Olivia Rodrigo' on top of the piano. The music intro started and I found myself holding my breath.

"I got my drivers license last week just like we always talk about.
Cause you were so excited for me, to finally drive up to your house.
But today I drove through the suburbs, crying cause you weren't around."

OH. MY. GOSH.

I scrolled down slightly, laughing quietly to myself when I noticed that her video had hit a million views already. Her voice... It's so full of emotions that it perfectly expresses the song. It was soft but strong. I listened carefully. And her piano skills are awesome as well, adding extra notes. I could tell that she pours her whole heart into the song.
