,,  As if i'll tell you... " The  Hydro abyss mage grumbled in annoyance.

,, Answer or i'll break more than just your bones. "

,, Fine! I'll tell you! " The Abyss mage cried.

In the Midst of Diluc and the Hydro abyss mage's battle, (Y/n)  ran as fast as they could. If only i brought my sword with me,  I could've helped Diluc! The child mentally scolded themselves as they ran. As (Y/n)  was about reach the front gates of Mondstadt, They heared an Ominous laugh behind them.  (y/n)  quickly hid behind a pile of crates as They scanned the area.

There weren't any Knight on patrol... They probably inspected this area already... (Y/n)  thought as examined the area They were hiding. There was a piece of rope, a long wooden pole and piles of crates which They were hiding in. They quickly clench onto the wooden pole as they continued to listen to the laugh.

,,  You know you can't hide forever... " The cryo abyss mage said as he scanned the area for the Child of light.

As the mage looked around, he saw a faint glow in the dark night. The abyss mage smirked, knowing that (Y/n) 's kind glows despite the everlasting darkness. Quickly, he teleported near the box of crates and slowly looked before getting hit by the wooden pole.

The Abyss mage cried as they rubbed against his cheek, which was hit by the wooden pole.

,, Did... You just hit me with a pole? " The mage looked at (Y/n)  who took Their position.

,, You just hit me with a pole... HOW DARE YOU!" The cryo abyss mage screamed as he conjured an icicle and shot it towards (Y/n).

Although They were able to dodge it, (Y/n)  could feel the cryo aura in it. It was as if it was piercing through Their skin and freezing them.  I should take note of that... (Y/n)  told Themself as they continued to dodge the cryo mage's attacks.

(Y/n)  tried find an opening to strike. However, it  seem that the mage tried to eliminate any way for the Child to strike.

,, You can't run forever!! " The cryo mage  snarled at (Y/n) , continuing to conjure more icicles.

One of the icicles flew straight towards (Y/n) at lighting speed which struck Them immediately. (Y/n)  flinched at the strike as the backed away. As their boots stepped into the wet shores of the cider lake, they felt a sudden change of temperature and glanced down. They widen their eyes as ice started to creep from their  left boot towards their knee.

(Y/n)  tried to use the wooden pole in their hands to break the ice however as they caught a glimpse of the cryo abyss mage conjuring up a icicle and quickly jumped out of the way. Their bottom hit the wet soil of the shore as they made eye contact with the cryo abyss mage. He mage let out a chuckle before his staff glowed.

,,  Looks like i've won this time-" Just as the mage could continue his sentence,  (Y/n)  quickly took the opportunity to bash the wooden pole in the mages stomach.

The cryo mage backed away from (Y/n),  hugging his stomach as he tried to withstand the pain. The child got up from the grass and limped over to the mage before kicking them as hard as they could to the waters of cider lake. This caused the mage to let go of his staff has flew into the deep waters of the lake.

The cryo abyss mage tried to swim out safety. However, they couldn't. As the mage desperately tried to float on the water, he caught a glimpse of (Y/n)  holding onto his staff and snapping it into two. The mage shivered as they witness  the child's (e/c) glare before they drowning and fading away.

The place fell back to its pin drop silence as (Y/n)  clenched onto the staff which was broken into two. They grinded hwir teeth as they dropped it to the ground. I shouldn't had  been that brutal to that cryo mage... (Y/n)  sighed . As they were about to turn around to find Diluc, Their left foot slipped due to the ice causing (Y/n) to slip and fall down.

(Y/n) immediately takes of their left foot and throws it away before getting back up to their feet. As they brushed off the dirt on their pants, they heard footsteps coming towards them which instantly made (Y/n)  turn.

,,  wait... (Y/n)! Are you alright?! "

Hi. I am so sorry for the long wait of this chapter. I was actually unhappy when i first wrote this chapter so i restarted this whole chapter. I only do this when i am confused about how i want to write these scenes and fighting scenes aren't my area of expertise.So once again, I'm sorry for the delay in this chapter!!
