Olivia's POV:

I thought that girl was kind and shy, but her attitude back there was different. I keep on questioning myself, what if River still likes Sloane, what about me? I decided to go home, all exhausted because of what happened. My phone rang, Conan is calling, i ended it, i need some space.

I got home, my parents were away because of work, i was left all alone. I laid in my bed, looking at the ceiling, thinking of what happened earlier. My phone buzzed, revealing a dm from River,

 [I'm sorry for what happened earlier, if you got hurt, i'm really really sorry]

Tear drops fell from my eye, looking at the phone, reading her dm made me think it all again. I decided to walk around the village, to breathe some fresh air. I sat at the bench, looking everywhere, when all of a sudden

"Hey" he smiled.

Joshua popped out of nowhere, it made me surprise. I don't know why he's here but at least i got someone beside me.

 "Oh, hi" I weakly smiled at him

"What happened?" looking at me all worried.

"Nothing, shit got harder this time"

"Come here" opening his arms for a hug,

I hugged him tight, remembering how i hug River the night i slept in her house. It hit me hard, piece by piece. 

"Thank you for being there, Josh"

"My pleasure, If you have any problems, just call me" he smiled

I heard a sound from the bush, a camera spotted. She ran when i saw her,

"Oh shit, here we go again" I massaged my temple, releasing all the anger.

"DELETE THAT OR ELSE!" Joshua shouted

 I walked away, going home because of tiredness. I sat at my bed crying,

"Why is shit so hard right now?"

I cried, shouted all of the pain i'm going through. Hours had passed, i din't notice that i fell asleep, receiving a lot of notifications. I opened my phone, revealing a lot of messages from fans and my friends. One dm caught my eye, River's dm.

[Hanging out again with him? hope he's making you happy]

 I saw the site where our photos got release, revealing me and Joshua hugging and looking at each other. What the fuck is happening today? I need to talk to my manager, to stand the truth about this issue again.

i went inside of my car, i'm going to River to talk about this. On my way to her house, I saw her hanging with her ex at the coffee shop, laughing. I smiled, without realizing that tears started to fall from my eyes. Seeing them together makes my heart ache, it feels like my heart is getting stab a hundred times. She saw my car, her smile faded. I got outside of the car, walking towards her,

"Joshua and I are not together, we're just friends" I said.

"Sloane and I are back together again" She said, holding Sloane's hand.

I felt my heart drop, hearing it again and again. My tears started to fall again, making a scene in front of the shop but it didn't mind me. I want River to know that i love her, and i will always will.

"Why are you crying? Shouldn't you be proud?" she said looking at Sloane

"Why would i be proud, huh? Haven't you notice River? I hang out with you all the time because I like you" i said with a cracking voice

"And if the world will hate me for loving you, i don't care, as long as i have you, i'm going to be okay" i added

Her smile faded, looking at me like she saw something.

"I-i'm sorry you felt this kind of pain" she said, cupping my cheeks

Sloane wanted to pull her away from me but she refused, River pulled me to the passenger seat while she's entering the driver seat. Started driving away from the city, i was still sobbing of what just happened. Slapping River's ex, the issue going around me and Joshua, saying the truth to River, and driving away from the city. I heard a call from my phone, Lydia is calling me,

"Olivia, where are you?" she asked with a worried tone

"You were crying at River, is everything okay?" she added

I can hear the pain in her voice

"I-i'm okay.. Don't worry, i'm safe here with River" i said, gazing at River while she's driving. 

"Just, please, stay safe, i'll call your parents to stop them from worrying about you. Go home, alright?" she said

"Will do, thank you, Lydia" i hang up, looking outside the window, mesmerizing every moment.

"Are you okay now?" River asked me out of nowhere

"Yeah, yeah i feel good" i smiled lighter at her

"i'm sorry for what happened earlier, Sloane and i.."

"You guys are back together?" i interrupted her

"Let me finish. Sloane and i aren't really back together, we're just friends"

"They why did you said that to me?" i gazed at her

"Because i thought that it would be a great idea, so you could feel the pain i'm feeling" She said, without doubts

I playfully punched her arm

"Because of Joshua? We're just friends, He was there to company me while i'm hurting" i said

"I understand, anyway, about that "you like me" thing you said, that's all over the internet"

"What? Really? Well that's good" I said, confidently.

"Why though?" she asked me, confused of my actions.

"The internet should know that i fell in love with a fan, who can actually be a great girlfriend" I smiled at her

Her cheeks went red, trying to cover her face but can't because of driving. I chuckled. We stopped over a cemetery, which i got confuse.

"Come with me" she said, asking for my hand.

She held my hand and we walked together until we saw her mom's name. We stopped, she sat at the ground while i was standing,

"Hey mom, this is Olivia. I came to visit you" she smiled

"Mom, if you can hear me, i just want you to know that this girl standing here beside me, i love her, i truly love her" she said wiping the tears off her face

I looked at her, admiring every moment.

"Say hi to mom" she said, standing up from the ground

"Hi" i quietly said, smiling at the tombstone

"I'm Olivia, River's friend" I added

"I'm still not asking her out, mom" she jokingly said which made me giggled

"But i will, right now" she added

I looked at her, staring at awe. She looked at me, smiling.

"Olivia Isabel Rodrigo, will you be my girlfriend?" She genuinely said

There are no lies in her eyes, she was being true

"Yes!" I replied excitingly, without second thoughts

We hugged each other, smile at each other, and our eyes met. She cupped my cheeks, leaning in for a kiss. Kissing passionately, enjoying every second.
