Ice cream

Her breathing was erratic and her makeup was completely ruined.

She was blocks away from the chapel as she cried.

She didn't know why she was crying, she was free and it's not like she was homeless, much less alone now that she had Axel.

Before Capri could cross the street, she halted, a long black SUV standing in her way as the back window rolled down. Colombo

"Oh my fucking god, my day just keeps getting better doesn't it".

Capri threw her hands up in exasperation as she watched Colombo's face soften at her state.

"Am I that late that I missed the vows"?

"Fuck off".

She stepped to the side to find a way around the vehicle but again stayed in place when Colombo called her name, her eyes rolled in response.

"My offer still stands". He reminded her.

Capri now sported a scowl.

"You're out of your fucking mind, I'm not leaving one mafia asshole for another".

Capri waved him off as she snorted at his choice of words before finally walking away, hearing the tires of the vehicle screech as it drove off.

Her phone vibrated which she ignored, she didn't want to speak to anyone right now.

"Jesus fuck Capri, come here you look like a lost puppy"!

She waved off his voice as she realized Axel was behind her, she could hear his steps as they grew closer.

"Stop come on, stop"!

Axel reached for her shoulder as he swiftly turned her around and took her in his arms, Capri's cries turned into sobs as she shoved her face into his chest.

She didn't want Mateo, he was a cheater, a dangerous man and a good fuck.

He could never love her, he would never love her.

Yet she cried as if he was the one who got away.

"Do you think they'll let us back to attend the ceremony"?

Capri scoffed, a laugh following right after .

"Sorry I was making eyes with one of the bridesmaids, you know, since I can't have the bride". Axel shrugged as he looked over at Capri who was laughing hysterically at his words while she ate away at the ice cream he had bought for the both of them.

"You can go, I don't think I'll be welcomed though". She smiled to herself as she swirled the ice cream in the cup with her small spoon.

"No no, then I'll be just as bad as Mateo if I leave you here".

They both laughed in unison before Capri's eyes fell upon a big scary man she hoped she'd never have to see again.

Tony stood at the entrance of the ice cream shop, hands in his pockets as he looked over at the both of them.

He walked over, stopping in front as his eyes landed on Axel.

"Do you mind, I need to talk to her".

Axel jumped at the voice, his mouth slightly agape before his eyes traveled to Capri who nodded slowly, telling him it was okay.

"Leave the ice cream".

Axel grumbled at Tony's demand but did as he was told, leaving his half eaten ice cream on the table.

"Didn't you have makeup on before"? He asked as he sat down and starting eating.
