THAT ILLUSION || Chasing the call of the chasm.
Earth is haunted, and they have come to save the earthlings before it's too late.
The Narngon school of magic is the only source of remedy for this silently perishing world. The trio of infamous queens...
But a simple lantern and bowl of silver sand were what she could glare her routs at. In her mission to solve the enigmas that were making her neurons heavy, she failed to notice the fading sphere.
"Oh, great lords! It is so massive than what I anticipated it to be," she commented her only conclusion.
When she couldn't surmise anything more, her panicking heart made her sweat the anxiety. Like she feared she couldn't read the signs right. Her blabbering thoughts grew loud enough to make her insane. She rolled the parchment and took the lantern. Without any more commotion, she locked the chamber.
She turned to face the skies to see the first rays of the dawn creep into the navy skies. To her cautioned heart the beauty of nature sounded more ironic.

"Are you sure that the girls aren't troublesome?"
Azarious asked with his twitching brows to the virtual woman seated in front of him above his clear, crystal, flat circular mirror.
"Not at all. They are the sweetest compared to the men I manage," she replied while winking her blue sapphire eyes, making him thin his lips for her satire.
"That sounds safe. So did you get to read their skills?"
"Yes, I could. They are way better trained than I thought. Except for their inquisitive questions, they are great."
"So something happened yesterday?" Azarious asked while leaning forward in curiosity.
"Should I tell you?" The woman ridiculed while shrugging her shoulders and averting her gaze to the ceiling.
"Galene! Be serious. This isn't a game. I'm responsible for their security on Earth and it insists that I must know whatever they do," he demanded.
"Relax Azarious! They are here under my care and nothing had happened except for an uncalled assignment." Her words pulled him in.
"An uncalled assignment? What do you mean?" He pace shot up.
"Like the previous happenings, there was a regional quake. A child was injured and we went to save her. That's it," she replied tossing her hands to the sides.
"Did they confront..."
He lifted his face towards his door as his talks were interrupted by strenuous knocks. Who would be up so early to meet me? He mused.
"Who is that?" Galene asked while trying to peek through her crystal mirror.
"Haha. Don't be silly, Galene. You can't see through the glass," he ridiculed her.
"Whatever! Stop bothering me and check what's the matter. With their panicking knocks, I could read that something is certainly wrong." Her words made him nod.
"Before you disappear I want you to answer this. Did the girls face the spirit? Or was it a mere curing tour?" He asked clubbing his palms to rest his jaws.
"Ah! They did face the spirit. Not just them but every one of us did face a spirit for the first time. Now you would go and we can talk about it later. Okay?" She reassured to which his widened eyes could only blink. Before his curious mind could load her with questions forgetting his surrounding she disconnected their relic communication.
Realising that he would have to wait to know the details he walked faster to his door to attend to the one who kept banging his door with impatient pace.
"Coming! Just a quarter more flicks please," he requested while muttering some curses for his morning to be this busy.
He unlocked the latch and opened the door to see the priestess, Rohana stand in front of him. Her shuddering lashes and quivering torso spoke of her unruly tiredness while her messy robes that were wet with condensing dews indicated her sleepless nights. Indeed something isn't right, he concluded.
"Holy morning, Grace! Come in please," he said while moving to the sides to get her some space for entering.
With a quick nod and no words, she came into the room and reached for the lamps to warm her cold skin. Azarious kept quiet letting her comfort herself for some flicks. Yet his keen eyes could read through her drowsy lids and blanching skin.
"Sir Azarious, I herein have a request," she spoke through her chapped lips.
"Your words are our divine orders, our grace. What's bothering your mind?" He asked while pouring a cup of hot white tea for her.
"Humbled by your words," she said holding her cup and sipping the tea to quench her dried throat. Every gesture of hers was something unusual for him. His mind kept pushing some questions only to get them gulped down along with his tea. Before he could let his guard get off, she spoke.
"I want you to get the girls back to Narngons. Things aren't simpler like we were told. We need some time to solve the visions I had witnessed lately. So, please do the necessary arrangements." With that, she sighed and pushed out a casual smile. But only Azarious knew that it wasn't that simple.
"That could have been done but I'm afraid that we are late." His words made her look at him through her cup and her questioning stare spoke a lot than her silenced words.
"I have been speaking with Galene few moments back. She said our girls are doing way better. But due to a calamity that happened yesterday, they went to save a child. Therein they were fortunate enough to see the haunting spirit." On hearing that she jerked a bit high, ending up spilling some hot tea over her robes. Azarious got up to help her but she refused him.
"What happened, grace? Are you unwell?" He asked while keeping his tea cups on the chestnut table.
"Summon an emergency meet, Azarious. I want you and the tutors of necromancy and abjuration disciplines to be present within quarter candle time in the chambers of the divine mother," she said as her voice toughened with every word.
"May I ask what is the reason behind your grace?" She stared at him letting her antsy convulsions pass down her spine for some moments.
Admitting that her waverings would do no good, she reasoned him her concern. "It is not Aramaur that is troubled. It is the entire Earth!"
With those words, it was clear to him that it was indeed an emergency. He thinned his lips and prayed for things to not get complex than this. After all, it was the only thing he could think of.
