Chapter 4: Really?

It's been 2 days since Rye met Rye.

Little Rye lovveeess having Rye around.

It was funny because he walked into the bathroom to brush his teeth so Rye could tuck him in, and when Rye looked in the mirror,

He said,"Wow! Look Uncle Rye! You look just like me!"

Rye just smiled and nodded.

"We sure do," he had said.

I thought it was adorable.

Well anyways, it's a Sunday and I am down stairs making pancakes.

I think Rye is coming over, I'm not entirely sure, but I am going to make extra anyway.

The door bell rings and Rye runs to answer it.

"Hey kid," the person says walking straight through my house.

"Um," I say rounding the corner and seeing Jo waving at me.

"JO JO!" I Scream running at her.

"Hey Ann," she says.

""Mommy," Rye asks reaching upward.

I pick him up and lead Jo to the kitchen.

"Looks like I came just in time," Jo says looking at the pancakes.

"FINNICK!" I yell up the stairs.

"COMING DEAR," He calls down.

"He is gonna be so surprised," I say.

"Yeah, by the way you need to teach that kid not to open the door, like yeah maybe put a lock on it or something," she says hopping up to sit on the counter.

"Yeah, we've been trying to work on that but he just doesn't understand, he sees us open it but he doesn't get that he isn't like us," I say sighing.

I hear Finnick padding down the stairs and he walks into the kitchen, shirtless, and kisses my cheek.

I hand him Rye and turn back to the pancakes.

"Daddy, look guest," Rye says waving his arms.

"What?" Finnick asks.

"Hello God of the Sea!" Jo screams.

"JO JO BEAR!" He screams and runs over to her wrapping her in a hug.

"You smell good," Jo says being the truthful person she is.

"Yeah I woke up like this," he says.

"Daddy, I want to go play," Rye whines.

Finnick sets him down and Rye runs off.

"Hon, is Rye coming over for breakfast or...?" I question.

"Uh yeah I think so," he says.

"Wait am I intruding?" Jo asks.

"Oh no," I say waving her off.

"Good cuz I wouldn't have left anyway," she says shrugging.

"Well, eye candy is coming over," I say laughing at Jo's reaction.

"Wait what? Oh I gotta check my hair, 1st door on the left right?" she asks running off.

"Yeah," I call.

"Ill get it!" Johanna calls running down the stairs.

She trips and falls but is up in an instant.

"I'm ok!" she calls.

She runs to the door and opens it.

"Rye right?" she asks opening the door and letting him in.

"Yep, that's me," he says.

"I'm Johanna, a family friend," she says shaking his hand.

"Nice to meet you," he says.

"Nice to meet you too now, FINNICK GET YOUR A** IN HERE!" She screams.

"Johanna, there is a child in the house," I whisper trying not to embarrass her.

"Oh yeah I forgot," she says snapping her fingers.

"Ok let me re try this," she says.

"Finny, will you please get you butt in here?" she asks in her sweetest voice she can muster.

"Yes darling, thanks for asking," Finnick says patting her on her head as she leaves.

"Yeah yeah," she mutters coming back into the kitchen.
