Chapter 2: A New World

Time Skip

Throne Room

Y/N POV:

We had followed the guy in the robe all the way to this large throne room, from what I could see we were in a castle of some sort. This king who had the man in the robe and a few others summon us here was sitting on a large thrown that looked down on everything.

"My king, I have brought the five heroes" the man in the robe said to the king with a bow

"Excellent, you may leave now" the king told the man in the robe

In an instant, the man in the robe was quick to leave the room, leaving us five with the king

"I am sure all you are confused as to what is going on now" the king told us

While I and the guy with the shield may of been confused, the other three not so much. Apparently they were already discussing payment with the man in the robe after being told they were summoned here to fight.

"We were told that we were summoned here to fight a great evil, what is that all about?" I asked the king

"It is simple really, you five were summoned to fight the evil of calamity" the king answered with some irritation in his voice

"Care to elaborate what that calamity is?" I asked

"Portals in the sky will open up and waves of monsters will appear, destroying everything around them and killing many innocent people" the king explained

"So we the heroes will be the ones to fight these monsters and stop the waves?" The guy with spear asked

"Exactly that, that was why you were summoned and wield the hero's weapons" the king answered

Right away I was beginning to see a similarity to something that I had seen before. It was that book that I bought for Tia at that bookstore, it sent me here and it mentioned something about heroes and fighting waves of monsters.

"Now before I continue, please introduce yourselves" the king said

The first to come up was the kid with the sword

"My name is Ren Amaki and I guess that I am the Sword Hero" the kid said introducing himself

Next was the kid with bow, he stepped up and introduced himself

"I am Itsuki Kawasumi and it looks like I am the Bow Hero" the kid said

After those two, the guy with the spear stepped up and introduced himself

"My name is Motoyasu Kitamaru and I am the Spear Hero" he said with a grin on his face

I decided to go up next even though it looked like the king wasn't paying much attention to me

"My name is Y/N L/N and it looks like I'm the gun hero" I said confused

"What is a gun? You hold a weapon known as cannon, a crude weapon but a hero's weapon non the less" the king said annoyed
