i get out of my resting positon on the couch and walk into my bedroom. i trudge over to my closet, picking out an outfit.

after changing into my outfit, i brush my hair, styling it as usual. i brush my teeth and tongue, making sure my breath smelled good.

i go back out to the living room, checking the time;

12:55

i have ten minutes to get to the park. i grab my keys off the kitchen counter, and make my way outside, locking my door on the way out.

time skip bc why would i write abt driving ツ

i climb out of my car, locking it once i close the door. i quickly glance around the park, looking for kalynn.

"y/n!" i hear the familiar voice of kalynn call.

"hey kay! how has your day been?" i ask, walking toward the brown-haired recipient.

"it's been good. how've you been?" she bounces the question back.

"good. what's the plan for lunch?" i ask.

"a picnic! i packed some sandwiches and little snacks for us to eat!" she exclaims, holding up a basket with a blanket placed on top.

"cute! let's find a spot" i state.

we walk around the park, looking for a place to sit on the ground. we find a spot under a large oak tree, placing the blanket and food on the ground.

"what would you like? i packed both your favorite sandwiches." kalynn asks.

"uh i'll have f/s please." i reply.

i thank her as she hands me a sandwich, along with a bag of my favorite chips.

"first bite!" i exclaim, making a reference to her and her brother's coffee cam's.

she giggles at my exclamation, also taking a bite of her sandwich.

"this is so freaking good" i compliment, speaking with a slightly stuffed mouth.

"thank you" she blushes at my antics.

we both talk about whatever we wanted while eating our food.

"hey y/n?"

"yeah kay?"

"do you like anyone?" kalynn asks.

"uh- yeah." i reply, heat rushing to my cheeks.

"really? who?" she asks, dissapointment seeping into her tone.

"uhm. i can't tell you" i reply, cheekily denying her request.

"aww c'mon, why?" she asks.

"u-uh because- because it's uh- because it's you." i stutter softly, my face turning bright red.

"oh. OH." kalynn exclaims, eyes widening.

"i-i should go." i say, getting up from the blanket spread on the ground.

before kalynn could say anything, i turn and walk back to my car. i can't believe i just told her. who the hell tells their crush that they like them like that!? what was running through my head that made me say that?

"y/n!" i ignore her calls, continuing toward my car.

"y/n, please!" she yells.

i turn around abruptly, looking toward her.

"i'm sorry kaylnn, i shouldn't have-" she cuts my rant off.

"let me talk y/n!" she exclaims.

i stay quiet looking toward the floor, letting her speak.

"i like you too!" she answers.

my eyes fly up to meet hers.

what?

she walks closer to me, grabbing my face and looking in my eyes.

"i like you too." she confirms softly.

i look into her eyes once more before closing the gap.

i couldn't believe it. i was actually kissing her.

"are you sure?" i ask when we pull away from each other.

she laughs, "100% n/n. i really, really like you."

"i really, really like you too." i say while blushing.
