Chapter IX

Jaime quickly walked over to me and congratulated me.

'Thank you Sydney!' I screamed into the mic.

Jaime, Tony, and I threw our picks into the crowd while Mike threw his drumsticks.

All in all, this show was pretty good. Now for the worse part- going back to the bus.

'Y'all know what to do.' Mike said as he walked behind us.

Oh boy.

Jaime and I went in first and slowly sat down as we waited for Mike and Tony to come in.

[Jaime]

'Alright, what the hell was that?' Mike demanded as he and Tony took a seat in front of us.

'We-Well uh..' Vic said as he looked for an answer.

He looked at me, as if I had one.

'I convinced Vic to be in a secret relationship with me. I missed him so much and I figured it'd be the only chance I'd ever get to be with him again. It was stupid but please don't tell anyone.' I begged.

'Is this true Vic?'

Vic simply nodded.

'Well, what about Audrey?'

'I'll figure out what to say to her later, but for now I would really appreciate if this would stay in between us four?'

'Fine, but you break up with Rachel.' Mike said to Vic. 'And you with Audrey.'

We nodded and they laughed.

'Alright, we're going to bed.' Vic said as he led me by the hand to his bunk.

Vic got I'm first and patted the spot next to him. I smiled and slowly got in with him.

His hair smelled like apples and  cherries, and his skin was soft and warm. I loved being this close to him. I had missed it.

'Do you love Audrey more than me?' Vic suddenly asked.

'What?'

Not only was I shocked, but this was an absurd question. Of course I loved him more than Audrey. I didn't even love her, I only "liked" her.

'Do you have any feelings for Audrey? Like do you love her?'

'Of course not. You know I only love you even though you're with someone else.'

'Don't worry-' she said before his phone started ringing. 'Oh shit, it's Rachel. She wants to face time.'

'Fine.' I sighed. 'Call me when you're done.'

I got up and crawled into my bed.

Hopefully Vic would be done with Rachel soon.

I woke up and made my way to Vic's bunk, only to find he wasn't there.

'Where's Vic?' I asked Mike.

'He's outside talking to Rachel.'

'Thanks.' I smiled as I walked outside.

"Maybe he's breaking up with her.." The thought made me smile wider.

'Alright baby. Yes, I miss you too.' I heard Vic say. 'Okay. I love you too. Bye.' he said before he hung up.

Wait, what?

Vic loved Rachel?

He was smiling until he turned around and saw me.

'Jaime, that wasn't w-'

'Then what was it?' I asked, he looked down. 'Tell me, do you love Rachel?'

'I- I Jaime I-' he stuttered.

The answer was clear and I didn't need to hear any more of his excuses.

'Whatever Vic. I guess our secret relationshit was a mistake.' I said before storming out.

I couldn't believe it..

[Vic]

'Alright baby. Yes, I miss you too.' I said calmly. 'Okay. I love you too. Bye.' I said before I hung up.

I had just finished talking to Rachel.

She said she wanted to talk to me when we got to San Diego, and I have a feeling of what it was. Whether or not I was right, I was breaking up with her.

I smiled as I turned around. Jaime was there, shit. I hope he hadn't heard that.

My smile fell as I spoke.

'Jaime, that wasn't w-'

'Then what was it?' he asked with a harsh tone, I couldn't help but look down. 'Tell me, do you love Rachel?'

'I- I Jaime I-' I stuttered.

The answer was pretty obvious. A big fat no.

'Whatever Vic. I guess our secret relationshit was a mistake.' he said before storming out.

Did Jaime really mean it?

I couldn't believe I had just fucked up another relationship.. Another one.

I fell to my knees in tears.

I had lost Jaime forever.
