She tried to stop the tears, to look away from the broken girl in the mirror who was indeed herself.
How could she look away, when her friend was back? The little voice in her head. The one that pushes her to believe things. Her little companion began to bring back old memories. Memories of when her dad said she would be unsuccessful for her outgoing personality.
"You'll probably end up pregnant and a high school drop out."
Her father who she looked up to said to a 14 year old Eden who had just told the older man that she wanted to move away when she was older.
And how she tried to please him by changing her personality.
Of course that didn't work.
You can't change yourself when you're happy with who you are.
How she tried to hide everything and anything from him, learning the truth only causes problems.
Learning that when someone yells at her she flinches, anticipating for something dreadful to happen.
The girl in the mirror only went the extra mile for people which she didn't know why when no one could even properly love her back.
The little 17 year old couldn't even comprehend her own emotions.
Poor girl.
She stood in the mirror gasping for air, pulling her hands tighter over her mouth not daring to make a sound as the tears pooled out of her eyes. She wanted to hit someone, she wanted to scream.
She couldn't.
Silence.
As she stood there both hands covering her mouth, covering her eyes as well not wanting to look at herself she forced herself to stop crying. Although she felt like she could cry for hours.
She put her hands down to her side as a couple more tears fell from her eyes, which she quickly wiped away with her cold hands.
The girl who really wasn't much older then a child, hell she was a child looked at herself in the mirror.... smiling.... blood shot eyes looking back at her.
She took a few deep breaths in and out. Inhaling sharply.
"You're ok."
She repeated to her self continuously.
Lies.
"You're ok."
She said still smiling at her reflection.
"You're ok."
Trying to make herself believe it.
Once she had calmed down she left the bathroom sneaking back into Lisa's room. She went to the little space on the floor where Chris was and got under the sheets once again.
She tried to take her mind off of things not wanting to cry again...feeling weak.
Was weak.
Immediately almost on impulse she thought of Jungkook, the tall pretty boy with the black clothes.
She slightly smiled at the thought of his face when he touched her cheek.
She smiled even just a bit wider when she thought back to when she kissed him... on the cheek.
She sighed.
