THE SPACES (LOST SERIES 1)

Chapter 5

What the hell just happened?! I stood up immediately and composed myself, pinatay ko 'yong tv at dahan-dahan akong humakbang patungo sa pinto. Humigpit ang hawak ko sa cellphone nang makarinig ako ng boses galing sa sala.

Alam kong palaging pumupunta dito ang mga kaibigan niya, kaya hindi imposibling alam din ng iba sa kanila ang passcode ng unit niya. Hahakbang na sana ako palabas ng pinto nang may sumulpot bigla sa harapan ko! "Pucha!"

"You okay?" He asked in a gentle tone.

I asked him back instead of answering "Sino ka?"

He raised his left hand with his phone in it, enough for me to see Nate's name in his contact list "I'm harmless woman, you have 10 minutes"

Ang lamig naman masyado, hindi ba marunong ngumiti ang mga tao dito? "10 minutes?"  Tanong ko, para saan?

"To get ready, Nate asked me to pick you up. 9 minutes left" He said before turning his back on me.

I closed the door and went straight to my closet, I picked the black high waist jeans and paired it with white shirt that has "back off" design, I was about to get my boots when Nate called.

[On the way?] Atay mo!

"Oo, sa sala" Sagot ko habang sinusuot 'yong white ankle boots na binili ko noong gabing pumunta kami sa Edge.

May naririnig akong ibat-ibang boses, nasaan ba 'to? Parang hindi rin naman sa club  [Gaga, huwag mong kakausapin si Santi, nangangagat 'yon!]

I rolled my eyes as if he can see it, bakit kasi hindi niya nalang ako sinama kanina, may pasundo-sundo pang nalalaman.

Naglagay ako ng kaunting liptint at hinayaang nakalugay lang ang buhok ko, nang lumabas ako naabutan ko siyang may kausap sa cellphone, nakatayo lang ako ng ilang metro sa kaniya hanggang matapos ang pag-uusap nila.

Tiningnan niya ako mula ulo hanggang paa, dahilan ng pagkunot ng noo ko. Bukod sa time limit, may survey din pala?

"All good?" He asked and fix his polo before he stood up.

"Yep"

I was just walking behind him till we reached the parking lot, he pressed the key and the car made a sound. What a Lambo.

It didn't take us long, since it wasn't that far from home, and yep I was just walking behind him again, for pete's the sake I don't know this place.

Right when the elevator opened, a man approached him "Yoo! where the fuck have you be— Bloody hell!"

Santi only raised his middle finger as his answer to him "Aww you're so sweet man, let's make love later" Sabi ulit ng lalaki bago pumasok ng elevator.

"Motherfucker! Gray where's my card?!" I heard a female voice looking for someone as soon as we entered the huge room on 10th floor .

The walls are all made of glass, on the left side there's a huge table in which the blonde girl was trying to balance the fruits on a tray to stop it from falling.

Nang makita ako ni Ate Chloe, agad siyang naglakad papunta sa akin habang hawak ang kamay ng isang babae, ayaw nitong sumama kaya naman panay ang hila niya rito, her yellow dress looks so good on her and even she's wearing a heel, I know I'm still an inch taller than her.

"Yarra! This is Elliana, Elli this is Yarra!" Pakilala ni niya.

I smiled at her, but she didn't smiled back. She just stared me like I am her huge problem she can't fix. Tumango lang siya pagkatapos at kumalas kay Ate Chloe bago bumalik sa couch na malapit sa babaeng blonde ang buhok.

Pinaglihi ata sa yelo ang mga taong nandito, at teka nga! Sa Vintage Cafe ang plano pero bakit ba kami nandito? Tinanong ko siya kung nasaan si Nate dahil hindi ko siya makita, sabi niya nandun sa 13th floor may kukunin lang.

As soon as we seated on the couch, Kuya Gillo called me and asked where we are, turns out that Kuya Lando went to our unit to drop the packages. Napaaga naman ata? Sa susunod na buwan pa dapat 'yon dadating.

Nang dumating si Nate sinabi kong uuwi muna dahil doon muna iniwan ni Kuya Lando 'yong packages sa tabi naming unit, kaklase niya ang nakatira roon kaya maaasahan naman pero gusto ko lang talaga na umuwi na.

Pero hindi talaga ako nila pinayagang umalis ni Ate, kaya sa huli wala rin akong nagawa. At ngayon ko lang napansin ang malaking painting sa may pinto, it has words that says Entrada at sa baba nito may maliit na naka-cursive na pangalan.

The blonde girl seated next to me while I was fiddling my phone "Hey, i'm Sachi" She smiled "Have you been in Vinta—"

"Honey, I'm Gabbi" Gabbi cut her off and it wasn't long before she entered.

"Hah! I wasn't done yet, iba talaga 'yong mga taga EU" Sachi said while shaking her head before asking me again "You went to Western College, right?"

We talked a lot of things, I learned that Sachi also studied in WC and took ABM as well. Even after we went to Vintage we were still talking as if there's no tomorrow. And from that day, we became friends, except Elli.
