THE SPACES (LOST SERIES 1)

Chapter 4

I woke up early, so I could prepare our breakfast, Nate don't know how to cook so there's so no hope, we're going to school at 8:00 am because their entrance examination is scheduled at 8-12 pm, Nate said it will take me an hour before I could finish the exam and that's fine though.

I asked Nate last night if what's the purpose of it since I heard someone said all students who took the exam permanently pass, i'm confused, perhaps it is their way to determine which section should every students belong?

He told me that it only means that they were intelligent enough to pass the exam, rumors are everywhere and we can't believe it unless there's an evidence. And he was right.

"Buenos días" He greeted.

I smiled "Good morning, let's eat"

He nodded and after few minutes we started to eat, marunong siyang maghugas ng mga pinggan pero masyadong mabagal kumilos kaya ako na 'yong gumawa, tapos na rin akong maligo at magbihis, siya nalang talaga ang kulang.

"Wuyy Ernesto!" I shouted "8:34 na"

"Andyan na pangit!" He shouted back. Atay mo!

After 10 minutes he showed up, naks, kaya naman pala ang tagal kasi may date yata ang Lolo ko, kala mo a-attend ng party eh magpapa-enroll lang naman. Pero baka rin magkita sila ng crush niya, este classmate niya.

"Ayos na ayos ah? Amoy Chloe ang datingan" I teased him.

He shrugged "Not sure yet, busy din 'yon eh" Talaga ba?

I haven't met her in person yet, but based on Nate's stories about her, she's good at management that's why she took CBM, while Nate chose CBM as well not because he wanted it,  not because Chloe was there. It was because of his parents preferences. He wanted to study Engineering like Kuya Gillo but he had no chance to take it.

"Gusto kong makita si Chloe, si Ate Chloe?" Sabi ko "Sige na, gusto kong makilala ng personal 'yong crush mo, yieeee!" I teased him again.

Tiningnan niya lang ako ng masama "Ayaw ko, madaldal ka masyado" Kinuha niya 'yong wallet sa bulsa niya at ibinigay sa akin, mukha ba akong alalay? "Daan muna tayo sa CAS Department may kukunin lang ako sa Annex 6" Dugtong niya.

Tumango ako "Saan 'yong CBM department kung ganun?" Tanong ko.

Nasa labas na kami ng unit niya, maglalakad lang kami papunta ng skwelahan kasi malapit lang naman 'yon dito. Hindi naman masyadong mainit pero  gumamit pa siya ng payong. Arte.

I saw the huge gate of the school, 3 guards are there, 2 guards in entrance, 1 in exit, students who entered tapped their ID's on scanner, while others have nothing to show and the guards were asking them questions but just a few minutes the guards let them entered.

I think they are also new like me. Nang malapit na kami sa entrance ako 'yong pinauna ni Nate. The guard was about to ask me since I obviously don't have an ID, but when Nate said I was his little sister, the guard smiled at him and let me enter right away. What the hell was that?

"Anong ginawa mo?" Tanong ko agad nang makalayo kami sa gate.

"Talent 'yon" Sagot niya sabay tawa "That's the Department of CAS, and the other one on the left side, it's CBM" Sabi niya sabay turo sa mga building.

We went to the nearest departments, since he had to take something at CAS Dept. he also taught me what they call the room code while we were going to COED Department, the codes are very helpful, considering that you can easily determine on which Dept. you should go at or what dept. and year level the person you will look for.
