Peridot furrowed her brows. She forgot? And she doesn't seem to be happy about it.. Hm.. She hummed. "Wanna talk about it? You don't have to though" she asked.

Lapis hesitated to say anything about Jasper before sighing in defeat. "I'll tell you at the Big Donut." she said before going to the stairs. "Ready?" She asked, looking at Peridot

Peridot quickly nodded and followed after her then took the lead and opened the front door, letting Lapis out first before stepping out and seeing Lapis' car then locked the front door.

Lapis smiled at the action and walked to her car, getting in and starting the car as Peridot got in. She turned on the radio and Shawn Mendes' song 'treat you better' started playing. She then started driving to the Big Donut.

Peridot blushed and looked at Lapis before looking away.

I really could treat you better than she can.. Hm.

"I won't lie to you. I know she's just not right for you.. And you can tell me if I'm off. But I see it on your face. When you say that she's the one that you want..." She sang, drumming on her knees.

Lapis blushed and looked at her briefly before looking back at the road with a calm and happy smile. Her singing is beautiful..

Peridot just continued. "And you're spending all your time In this wrong situation. And anytime you want it to stop! I know I can treat you better than she can! And any girl like you deserves a gentleman! Tell me why are we wasting time? On all your wasted crying? When should you be with me instead?!"

"I know I can treat you better.. Better than she can!...I'll stop time for you... The second you say you'd like me to.."

"I just wanna give you the loving that you're missing Baby, just to wake up with you~ Would be everything I need, and this could be so different..Tell me what you want to do~"

" 'Cause I know I can treat you better than she can~ And any girl like you deserves a gentleman! Tell me why are we wasting time? On all your wasted crying? When you should be with me instead?! " she sang

All of the sudden the car stopped and they were at the Big Donut. Lapis got out as well as Peridot. They walk into the Big Donut, going to the counter.

A shoulder length blonde girl was behind the cashier with a name tag saying 'Sadie', she was talking to a pink haired boy.

"Lars! I need you to start stocking, not be on your phone!". She said to Lars that had holes in his ear lobes and was on his phone.

Lapis then started to look at the options as Sadie welcomed her in. " Hi Lapis! Hi Peridot! What can I get ya? "

Lapis hummed before speaking. "I would like a coffee with a strawberry donut, glazed donut, jelly donut and... " she trailed off, looking at Peridot.

Peridot nodded and hummed. "And a chocolate donut, cinn bun and chocolate Kreme please. " she said before walking to the vending machine, grabbing a Mountain Dew and a Cookie Cat before sitting down at a table.

Sadie gave Lapis the donuts in a bag and her coffee, Lapis then paid and walked to the table, sitting down and handed the donuts to Peridot.

"I see you have a sweet tooth and an appetite. '' She giggles softly. "Wait.. " She mumbled, looking at her drink. "You're drinking your own kind! " she chuckled.

Peridot blinked and tilted her head in confusion. "Uh what? " she asked with her brows furrowed.

Lapis chuckled. "Well you like a lot of green and Mountain Dew is green.. You're even wearing green right now" she said.

Peridot rolled her eyes and huffed. "Ok ok, really funny" she said sarcastically.

Lapis chuckled and the two began to eat their food and eat their drinks.

After they finished their meal, Lapis began to talk. "The first time I met Jasper, she seemed really nice and I genuinely liked her.. But over time.. Some things have changed about her. She became violent and rough.. "

"She called me names and started to.. Have me whenever she wants, sometimes when I don't agree.."

"She began to show me off and fight whoever was near me.. I want to break up.. B-but if I do.. I don't know what her reactions will do to me or the person I like.. " she admitted.

Peridot listened closely. She could feel her blood boil and the need to protect her.

This wasn't hormones that's for sure.

She reached out and grabbed Lapis' hand. "Lazuli. I promise to help you break up with Jasper. I won't let her hurt you anymore. I'm here for you. " she said and smiled.

Lapis blushed and held her hand tightly before sighing. "I don't want you hurt.. "

Peridot shook her head. "You're my friend and I'd do anything for you so please don't worry. " she said. "I might be small but I'm pretty strong. I just don't fight back.. "

Lapis smiled and nodded. "Ok.. But be careful and don't pick fights with her."

After awhile they leave and decided to talk about stuff outside

Lapis was hugging herself and rubbing her arms from the cold air.

Peridot hummed and took her flannel off, putting it on Lapis' shoulders with a smile.

Lapis blushes slightly and smiled.

Yep I definitely like her, it's not just hormones.
