The girl in the front raised her hand.

"Excuse me? Which Ortiz? I'm Sara Ortiz."

"And I'm Alma Ortiz, her mother. We both matched here." The woman behind her smiled.

"Ah, how sweet. But two interns with the same name won't fly. Who's changing theirs?"

The women looked to each other.

"Alright, we'll go with nicknames. Big O, Little O? You decide. Name tags for everyone. If you need anything at all, ask someone else."

"You suck." I said as he walked out.

"Not at my job, I don't." He smiled.

The interns looked around, lost. They didn't know what to do or say..

"Um, excuse me?" Alma called.

I turned my head to the misdirected interns, sighing.

"Is it okay if I go by Mama Ortiz?"

"Totally fine." I assured, going to the front of the room.

I corrected their duties, directing them to their areas.

After that, my day seemed to go by pretty quickly. It was going good until I got home to be presented with nonsense.

"You've got to be kidding me." I grumbled.

"I mean... I don't really see anything wrong." Carlos shrugged.

"Oh, you don't?" Jackson asked, crossing his arms.

"So, Carlos.. you don't find it.. funny that we left our daughter with her natural hair color and now she has blue highlights?"

"I like it!" Sky yelled, grinning as I picked at the colored strands.

"Of course you like it." I said, chuckling.

"You wanna tell us about your day?" Jackson teased, smirking.

"About- About my day? Nah, I'm good, I actually have somewhere to be. Y'all be easy." Carlos waved, walking away.

Sky ran off to play while I threw the extra toys in the bin.

"We pregnant or what?" Carlos asked, sitting on the couch.

"No, we're not."

"That's funny 'cause I had a dream about a fish.."

"Carlos... Bye! Go. Just.. go." I pushed him toward the door, fed up with the nonsense.

"Get your hands off me. All I'm saying is, I don't dream about fish. This is new."

"You sound like a grandma and how do you know it's me? What if it's Paige? Or-"

"Do not say Meredith." He stopped me.

"I wasn't gonna say Meredith. Besides, what's up with Paige?"

"It ain't her. At least it wouldn't be by me. We broke up not too long ago... Funny, actually. She's moving to Switzerland."

"Why Switzerland?"

"I don't know but it's whatever." He shrugged, moving to answer the door.

"Alex! What's up, my boy!"

"Carlos. Hey."

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Hey, we're leaving tonight." He sadly said.

"It was a quick trip, I know. But the kids wanted to meet everyone and... I guess I missed you guys."

"How's that farm life, boy?!" Carlos teased.

Alex chuckled.

"It's definitely different.. but I like it. Anyway, I gotta go. I'll call you, Sage."

I tightly hugged him, giggling as he spun us around.

"See you guys." He said, letting me down and walking to the car.
