tsukishima ~ friendly reminder

Start from the beginning

Tsukishima isn't one for small talk so he lets you make your rounds with your friends within your major while he stays stationary at the table. Occasionally there'll be a person who comes up to him but the conversation doesn't hold very long. After all, besides with you and a few friends, Tsukishima isn't known for carrying the conversation.

He slowly sips on his drink, letting his cheeks turn a light pink. Tsukishima looses track of time but all he knows is that he wants to go home- but that's nothing out of he ordinary.

In the meanwhile...

"Where's that boyfriend of yours?"

"Oh, he's not exactly what you'd call an extrovert. He told me he'd find a table somewhere and wait for me."

Kuroo puts his hands on his hips, scanning the room from a distinct blonde but failing to do so. "Well, why'd he decide to come then?"

You put up a faint laugh along with Kuroo, shrugging your shoulders. "Who knows? Hopefully someone manages to crack a smile on his face by the end of the night," you sigh, giggling at the mental image of anybody trying to approach him with that somewhat dangerous aura he puts up despite his soft side.

"He doesn't seem to be taking a liking to me though," says Kuroo, scratching the back of his head.

You laugh lightly, trying to defend your boyfriend which he doesn't make easy considering he was quite blunt about his feelings towards Kuroo. "He just has a tough exterior to crack and maybe a little protective....but he means well!" you rush to say.

"Doesn't it get exhausting though?" His arm slings around your shoulder, not an uncommon move by the male but it still catches you off guard.

You distance yourself a little, pushing off of his chest. "Does what get exhausting?"

"You know... I mean take now for instance. It's a Friday night, he's no where to be found and if he was, I doubt it'd be that much fun-"

"I guess you could say that...but he has his charms."

Kuroo again pulls you closer, using the volume of the room as an excuse to lean closer to your ear. "I mean yeah but a girl like you deserves more, don't you think?" His words start to slur and you're hoping it's the alcohol and not the excuse of alcohol that has him acting this way.

His arm drops down till it's around your waist and you try maneuvering your upper body up and away as he continues to press towards you. It feels awkward trying to squirm your way out of his long arms, almost as awkward as having his conversation. "No, I love Kei-"

"I mean no offense but-"

"Yes, offense!" you interrupt. "I don't think it's fair of you to be saying that when you hardly know-"

"Y/N." This voice is calm, familiar and yet there's something dangerous about it. You slowly turn around only to quickly throw Kuroo's hand which somehow landed back on your shoulder in the few seconds from when you originally threw it off when you make eye contact with him.

"Kei! We were just- I mean I-"

He grabs your hand without even making eye contact with Kuroo, completely disregarding his existence. "We're going home."

Tsukishima drags you within the crowd, not seeming to care how difficult it is for you to maneuver your way around the crowd as you're bumping into people. But the way he's walking, it's clear he's a man with a mission.

"Hey! Y/N!" Kuroo shouts after you, watching your figure disappear. "Tch."

As you make your way home, you try to explain yourself over and over to Tsukishima to make sure there's no misunderstanding but over and over, Tsukishima claims that he's 'not mad.' And yet, something about the downwards slope of the edge of his lip says otherwise.
