Mikayla came to the balcony while the others were in the main room playing board games. As they were leaving for Korea the next day, they had insisted the girls to stay for longer and Andrea had readily agreed.

They had stayed way after lunch such that night was about to fall and it would be almost dinner time by then. She glanced out at the dusky sky, thinking how one unexpected encounter in a stuck elevator had brought them all to that moment.

Life truly was unexpected.

"Everything okay, Miss Mikayla?"

She spun around immediately to see Suga leaning against the doorframe, a drink held casually in hand.

"Yeah," she smiled politely, shifting to the right as he joined her in the balcony.

"Your sister is getting along with everyone as if she has known us for years," he remarked though his tone was gentle, a soft smile playing upon his lips.

Ever since that time in the concert when she had almost yelled at them, he was surprisingly being very nice towards her. Perhaps because he understood what she meant and knew she was right.

"In a sense she has known you all for years," she replied, turning her gaze back to the stars that had started to become visible in the purplish pink shades of the sky.

"The sky is beautiful tonight," he mumbled and she glanced briefly at him but caught no flicker of emotion on his face.

He was mostly like that; just a blank slate with nothing written upon it. No one could guess what he was thinking by observing his expressions because he hardly let any be visible on his features.

Unreadable.

He caught her gaze and she quickly lowered her eyes, a faint pink shading her cheeks.

"Don't you guys ever feel trapped?" Despite herself, she voiced out the question that was bothering her, "I mean..."

"I know exactly what you mean," he nodded, "sometimes, we do."

"Then have you never considered freedom?"

"The point is, Miss Mikayla," he uttered her name softly, eyes flickering back towards her for the briefest of seconds, "even if we do feel trapped, a lot more has started to depend upon this life we live right now. Hundreds and millions of people, their happiness, their love and so much more. We don't want to take that away from them."

"But still... Don't you think your own happiness means a lot too?"

He chuckled softly which made her startled, "you sure have a different way of viewing things."

"I am not kidding, if that's what you thought."

"Of course I know that. You are seriously asking us to consider something we have done so before at many points in our career," he resumed, voice turning even softer such that it made her wonder how many people must have fallen for his voice alone.

But then not many considered the details, just the subjective was all that mattered to most, instead of what lay underneath.

"There were times we considered disbanding, times when I was too let down to resume with it all. JK has been there too so has Taehyung. The dejection and the guilt of not being able to give what is expected from you... That was probably the worst part of our lives," a shadow crossed his features and she caught one faint flicker of sorrow evident in his eyes, "but we made it through and stayed together. It was mostly due to Jin and Namjoon who kept us together and I am glad they did."

Mikayla felt as if it was a very personal part of their lives and it didn't feel right to probe further. But his words surely did give her a slight insight into it.
