Shigaraki's Route - Chapter 3

A month had passed since Dabi's death. Things have been fairly calm. Shigaraki would always make sure Satoko wouldn't be alone.

He still never seen a smile on her face. Her eyes looked very lifeless and depressed.

The League of Villains took this loss as a way to try to recover to come up with what to do next. Shigaraki, Satoko, Toga and Twice all had gathered together to talk about gathering supplies.

Suddenly, the wall near them came crashing down. Dust and debris scattered. Their vision came to reveal that it was Hawks.

His hand clutched onto one of his feather blades. His eyes looked so cold and serious. "Surrender yourselves quietly. I didn't come alone." His eyes pierced towards Satoko. "Including you."

"What...?" Satoko felt taken aback.

"Are you saying you betrayed us?!" Toga exclaimed.

"Why would you do that?!" Twice yelled. "I thought we were friends!"

Shigaraki moved so that he was in front of everyone else. He glared at Hawks. "I won't let you take any of them away. You're just living proof that heroes can't be trusted."

"Takahashi." Hawks looked towards Satoko. This was the first he ever called her that other than 'Sunset.' "It looks like your plan to save the villains was a hoax."

"That's not-" Satoko glared.

"You didn't stop this, yet you had the power to. Why couldn't you keep him under your control?" Hawks pressed.

"I have limits to my powers!" Satoko yelled. "Why do you heroes always have to assume things?!" It felt like her throat was closing up due to the pain she was feeling recalling Dabi's death. "I never wanted Dabi to die! Nor did I want him to kill his family!"

"Regardless, you stayed here knowing that. You have done nothing to show this 'real' justice of yours." Hawks suddenly moved fast towards Satoko. Too quick for anyone to react or help.

All that kind talk that Hawks had done to her in the past....

(He's so fake!!)

She started to activate her Siren's Song to get him to withdraw, but another person jumped through the window. His hands gripped onto his capturing tape. He straightened up, pushing his long black hair out of his face with one hand. His eyes were bloodshot. "Surprised? I erased your quirk. You should come with us now before we have to use force."

At that moment, Satoko couldn't speak. But that didn't stop her from trying to use physical force against Hawks.

It was hard to read his eyes. Compared to how he used to look at her, they seemed cold. Like how he looked at Dabi.

(So that's how it is.) Satoko felt so angry. To think, she considered Hawks a friend too.

Toga attempted to go after Aizawa with her knife to help.

(He's too fast!) Satoko couldn't defend herself from Hawks.

Some blood is splattered from Satoko's arm from Hawks's feather blade. The betrayed look she gave him didn't make his expression falter.

Whatever he was feeling, he was good at masking it.

Seeing the way that he hurt Satoko filled Shigaraki with rage. He lunged forward and grabbed one of Hawks's wings. His other hand swung around to Hawks's shoulder. He activated his quirk. "You really are a terrible person, you know. I can't believe the likes of you is still alive."

"At least I didn't kill innocent people." Hawks retorted. He used his other feathers to try to break Shigaraki off of his decaying wing. He managed to get his hand off of his shoulder.
