He doesn't let me go, despite the rain attacking us with tiny pelts, Bucky stands looking at me, as though he can barely believe I'm real, his eyes scanning my face, his thumbs stroke gently on my cheeks.

"You're okay?" He breathes and I nod, "and you're okay?" I ask in return and he laughs in a way that immediately brings me comfort, tears are falling from his eyes and he flashes what feels like all his teeth as he beams down at me in disbelief.

Bucky shakes his head and my gaze falls down his own face, over his own features to his mouth, every instinct in me is telling me to kiss him.

But what if he has a girlfriend?

Bucky seems to notice the shift in my demeanor when I look at his lips and he frowns while still smiling, "what's wrong? Not scared to kiss me are you?" He grins wide and cheekily.

I feel my expression change automatically, I shake my head.

"Good, cause I never thought I'd get to kiss you again.." he scrunches his nose and laughs, "fuuck I've missed you."

He closes the gap between our faces, kissing me harder than he ever has, the rain splashing on my cold cheeks as his warm lips meet mine.

Bucky smiles into the kiss and I know for certain, he is still mine, and I will always be his.

Our lips, tongues, they move together like there has never been a day of separation, nothing feels different, everything in me, when I'm with him, is as it should be.

We separate and he rests his forehead on mine, just looking at me with all the love in the world.

"I HATE TO INTERRUPT BUT WILL YOU GET OUT THE DAMN RAIN!"

We pull apart and both laugh as we look at my father stood smiling at us from under an umbrella.

Truly, I never thought I'd see this expression on my fathers face, he is beaming with pride?Admiration? Happiness? Something of the sort.

Bucky smiles at me wide and leans down to grab my things, we run under the large umbrella and my dad smiles at me, "inside!"

I take Buckys hand in mine and nod, looking at him again, just to check, like he will of disappeared in the two seconds I wasn't focusing on him beside me.

It seems he feels the same as he smiles down brightly to me, pulling me along with him towards the compound.

We reach the foyer as a flash of lightening brightens the sky, a loud bellow of thunder accompanying it like the weather is threatening us to stay inside.

I look at Steve shaking himself off, to Pepper, Peter and Morgan greeting us with huge smiles, and then I look at Bucky, who's mere presence beside me makes me feel like I'm radiating a happy and content glow.

"You guys are just gonna stare at each other now aren't you?" Peter says and I can hear the smile in his words, my eyes still on Bucky as he grins at me, "you betcha!" I laugh and he pulls me into his side.

"You all need to change, you'll catch a cold!" Peppers mothering is so ridiculously welcomed by me now, a huge change in the way I'd cringe and reject anything like that before hand.

Bucky nods and pulls me along with him, following Steve and my father up the main stairs so we can all change into something warm and dry.

The dimly lit compound is a little eery as we walk through the corridors, my father insisting it's to reserve power, that it's a new thing he's testing out to help the environment, my little vegan heart feels so proud.
