Patrol gone wrong

Jason was having a bad day he had broken up with his 3 week girlfriend and 3 of his safe houses were destroyed buy some wannabe criminal and when he sparred with the demon spawn he had been beaten in 10 minutes due to his lack of attention so he had to listen to the demon boasting for the whole day

finally it was time for patrol all the bats were down  in the batcave -except goldie who was doing who knows what-fully ready and they were waiting for goldie it was actually really surprising since goldie was never late for anything but jason was far too angry to think about the reason

Jason pov

I didn't know how much longer I can stand waiting here for goldie ı mean why is he late anyway- oh there he comes with that stupid grin of his plastered on his face although there is something wrong it looks like he is trying to hide something but still I can't believe him  we've been waiting for him for 30 minutes and he doesn't even say sorry

and I'm the only one noticing this replacement and the demon spawn haven't said anything and that's kinda weird the demon would never miss a chance to insult one of us 

when he comes in with that stupid smile ı finally lose it " what the hell! just because you're golden boy doesn't give you the chance to slack off do you know how long we've been waiting here ı really want to know what was so important that kept us waiting for you you know what you think you're better than all of us but guess what you're not you couldn't even save your damn parents" the second ı said that ı knew ı had passed the line  ı was just so fed up with everything and when ı saw that stupid grin ı just couldn't keep it in

and when ı looked at his face ı knew he was hurt like really really hurt goldie never showed weakness but now ı knew that ı had hurt him with just a few wordshis lips were pressed in a thin like and his eyes his eyes that held so much sadness it looked like he wsa second from crying 

he didn't say anything he just stormed out of the cave and ı was left with 2 birds and a bat who looked downright shocked at me but that shock quickly turned into anger the demon spawn looked ready to kill me and the replacement lookedlike he was thinking along the same lines and bats well he looked shocked ı was actually happy with my self it takes a lot to shock him so ı mentally aplauded myself but then the one thing he said made me want to crawl back into my coffin

"red hood,have you checked the date?" ı was confused but when ı looked at it oh no it was the anniversary of his parents deaths and ı had just said the unforgivable thing to him

now ı had to apologize which was a task in itself but ı didn't know that those words would be the last ı said to him for a long time

we were fighting against a gang of 100 150 people or something ı had stopped counting after the first 50 they weren't even good fighters so it was fairly easy to beat them and that's why ı was thinking about what jason had said and dick's reaction ı knew he had been hurt by that statement but ı also knew jason hadn't meant anyhting he was probably just angry and he had taken out his anger at dick

no not that sound not that dreaded sound ı didn't want to turn and look but ı had to it all happened like it was in slow motion jason had his back turned fighting 10 goons and one of them had snuck up behind him and he had gotten a lucky shot 

just as ı was yelling at jason to turn around a black and blue blur threw itself in front of the bullet it took me 5 seconds to understand that blur was my first son and it took me another 5 to understand he had been shot
