Prologue
Destiny's POV:
"Why aren't you saying something, Tyler?"
No response. Again.
I took in a deep breath to stop the tears that threatened to escape as I stared down at the top of his head.
"Can you please look at me?" I asked, trying to keep calm.
He remained still as a statue, gaze fixed on the bed covers.
Swallowing the lump building up in my throat, I sat down in front of him. Lifting my hand, I gently trailed my fingers over the bandage wrapped around his forehead.
I bit my bottom lip as it quivered. "D-does it hu-hurt too much?"
