uniform problem

At 7 am, ellie got me up.
I needed to wash off my makeup and get ready for school, but first, breakfast.
As I was eating my cereal, ellies mum walked in.
"Chloe, we have a problem, the tumble dryer isn't working, and there is no way to dry your clothes" she explained.
What am I going to do, I've not got a spare one.
"Oh, well what am I going to wear" I asked
Ellie then had an idea.
"What about one of my sets of school uniform, I have a spare set" she said
"I'm afraid chloe that its seems like the only option, I'll try get it clean for tonight, I really do apologise"
I felt bad, its obviously not her fault but now I have to wear the girls uniform, which yes, I do pefer, but I'd get bullied.
"Its fine, I'll wear one of your sets"
"Ok, well have a shower, and I'll lay it on the bed" said ellie.

I already had a tie, and she gave me a pair of tights.
Were the same night and size so the uniform fit perfectly, and I loved it.
Unfortunately, others wouldn't.
"Chloe, you look adorable, dont let anyone else say anything" said ellie reassuringly.
"Ok" I said scared

Walking to school was bad enough, all the boys were staring at me, the younger girls giggling, it was hell.
When I got to school, everyone looked at me.
I just stayed with my other friends who complimented me.
After 5 minutes, the headmaster, mr Bradshaw called me onto his office.
"Now theo, obviously your wearing the girls uniform, we cant have that"
"But why, it's the uniform"
"Well as much as I disagree with this, you have to be a girl on the system to wear it, again I disagree, I have a son who also likes to wear skirts and dresses, but it's the boards rules unfortunately, we will have to call your mother in"
I was shaken, she cannot see me like this.

10 minutes later, she walked through the door, and the look of horror on her face.
"Excuse me young man, what is this"
"Mum I'm sorry, there wa..." I was cut off
"I don't want to hear it, with me"

She marched me to the car and she drove me home.
Silence, she never said anything, face of fury was all I needed to know what she was thinking.
When we got in the house, she looked at me.
"How dare you disrespect me like this" she snarled.
"I didn't mean to, there was an accident" I cried
"I don't care, you can find somewhere else to live, pack your things"
"What" I sobbed
"You heard me, go" she ordered
Crying I packed all my things and didn't even look at her as I left, my room was empty.

I waited outside school for hours, but Ellie emerged.
"What happened" she asked me
"Mum kicked me out" said started to cry again
"Awww" she said giving me a big hug.
"Look, come back to mine, mum will help"
And I did, we went back to ellies house and she explained everything to her mum.
"Oh chloe, dont worry, you can stay with us, for now anyway, depends if your mum changes her mind" she said reassuringly
I was finally in a household that accepted me, I felt an overwhelming sense of joy.
I went up to ellies room and she let me pick out an outfit.
I picked out another t shirt and skirt.

When ellie was doing my makeup, I got a text from my mum.
"You are no longer my child, your up for adoption"
To be honest, I didn't really care, earlier I was scared, but now I feel safe.
I shown ellie, and she told her mum when we finished.
"Ok, well I dont see why we can't adopt you, I'll ask my husband" she said
Now we were excited.

A few hours later, I met ellies dad, and hearing the news he agreed to adopt me.
Life was perfect, I am now a girl at home, and have a father, that's all I've ever wanted
