Third Person P.O.V.
There arose a generation that had now long forgotten about the bloody past. An era where globalization made the world shrink and more similar to another, still unique cultures are still shared and widely celebrated. It was the modern age for technology, and every single person would not want to miss out.
No more Titans or curses or even flying soldiers. All of it was just part of a long-lost history. Some call it a legend, a lesson for everybody not to fall for a devil disguised as a beautiful woman. Nobody remembers the names of the soldiers nor the person who flattened the earth. But they do call her by one name, The Restless Wanderer.
On an ordinary spring day, hordes of tourists have been going in and out of the airport. Some bade their goodbyes to their friends, family, and loved ones, while others welcomed them. Unfortunately, you were one of those who are leaving the country.
"You sure you want to go back home to Paradis where your stepfather is, (Y/n)?" Yelena asked as she opened up the trunk to get your grey roller suitcase.
"A.K.A, the man you hate the most?" Pieck, her girlfriend, asked as she stepped out of the car. "It's not too late to go back, you know? You could always stay at our apartment."
"And what? Hear the both of you having sex next door through the thin walls and not even bother asking me to join?" You teased as you pulled up the handle of your suitcase.
"Why didn't you say so?! C'mon, let's go back home!" Yelena jokingly pulled the hoodie of your black sweater as if dragging you away from the entrance of Marley's Capital Airport.
"Stop! Hahahahahaha! I already paid for the ticket!" You giggled. She released her grip, making you stumble forward.
Closing your eyes and bracing yourself for the floor to catch you, you felt warm pair of muscular arms around your waist and your face landing on someone's chest. It's a caring embrace that you'd recognize even with your eyes closed.
"Nice catch, Colt!" Pieck clapped her hands as you faced up and saw him blushing and looking away from you without letting go of you.
"A-are you really going to l-leave?" He stammered, not even trying to make eye contact with you. You wrapped your arms around his torso, hugging him back and beaming a cheeky smile.
"Don't worry, I'll come to visit if I can. We could call each other at some convenience stores and eat instant Korean cup noodles at the same time. Like we always do."
"Zeke would have wanted you to stay," Colt muttered as his last resort to make you stay. Honestly, his words would have made you cry all over again for your boyfriend, who passed away just two months ago after being deployed on a war somewhere on the other side of the world.
You furrowed your eyebrows at him and pouted your lips, trying to guilt-trip Colt but ended up looking adorable for him. He chuckled at how you looked and pinched your cheeks instead.
"Fine, let's go!" He surrendered and flicked your forehead playfully. You smacked his arm in revenge as you pulled the handle and entered the terminal with them walking beside you.
As soon as your flight number was called, you hugged them all and said goodbye to your squad before entering the plane.
"Call us as soon as you land, okay?" Colt shouted. You simply responded with a thumbs up without looking back.
"You should've admitted how you had a crush on her since college, cold rice!" Pieck teased as she elbowed his side, making him purse his lips and blush.
"That would've made her stay." Yelena agreed and placed her right arm around her girlfriend's shoulders as they walked back to the exit of the terminal.
