And suddenly I'm running. Running away from your green eyes that keep making their way into my vision. Green is flashing all around me, I feel trapped.

I look back to see if you're following me, but you aren't there. You never are.

I hide behind the closest tree and my back slides down its rough texture. My breathing is erratic and my vision is blurred from tears.

I close my eyes tightly but I can still see a sliver of your sad green eyes. A sob escapes my lips and I pull at the roots of my hair.

My mind wanders back to how soft your hands felt upon my skin and I begin to shake. I let my thoughts consume me as I sit there.

After a while I've calmed down. I take a deep breathe before I open my eyes. The sun is shining down on me and I listen to the breeze that's going through the quiet forest.

I remember the first time I slipped into your grasp. The feeling of your hand wrapped around my neck, I had let the air leave my lungs. And that is when I knew that it was too late to run.
