Vihaan

I looked over my shoulder for the hundredth time, hoping to see a familiar figure walking up towards me, but still nothing. Looking down at my watch, I saw another minute tick by. Is she really that mad at me?! I turned back around, taking in the cool wind and sparkling stars.

Checking my watch again, I looked at the time dejectedly. It was too late already. Turning around, I started to walk towards the stairs, but stopped, seeing her faint silhouette. Slowly coming more into focus, her sharp eyes met mine, and I couldn't help but smile.

"Leaving already?" she whispered, brushing past me to rest her hands on the railing.

"Not at all," I whispered back, leaning my back to the railing so that I could get a better look at her face. She looked at me, meeting my eyes for a brief second, before averting them again. We stood in silence for a minute or two, not knowing how to start the conversation we had been meaning to have.

"What you said in the car..." Jiya started, trailing off.

I looked at her intently, waiting for her to go on.

"What you said in the car just now, did you mean it?" Her voice was low now, barely audible, but her emotions were clear. She looked up, waiting for an answer.

"With all that I have," I replied back, meeting her emotions. A small smile teased her lips, but she held it in. I held out my hand and Jiya rested her hand on my palm. Bringing our hands to my chest, just above my heart, I took a step closer, eliminating the distance and reluctancy between us. "With all that I have," I repeated, assuring her.

This time, she didn't suppress that precious smile, the sparkle reaching beyond her eyes. Tightening my hand around hers, I slowly brought it up to my lips, asking for permission with my eyes. Her slight nod was enough for me to interpret, as I kissed the back of her hand. "With all that I have."

Moving past her bangle, I left a soft kiss in the middle of her forearm. "With all that I have."

I could feel her tense up, I looked back up, assuringly, meeting her eyes. Wanting to get rid of the hesitancy once and for all, I pulled her into me with a slight tug. Sliding a hand across the back of her waist, I held her close to me, letting our breaths sync up to one another. Releasing her wrist, I reached up to cup her face. Trailing down the side, I brushed the hair off her bare shoulder, planting a soft kiss there. "With all that I have."

Tilting my face so that it was in the crook of her neck, I kissed the base of her neck, whispering my chant, "With all...that I have."

Her breath hitched, but Jiya didn't push me away. Trailing soft kissing until reaching right beside her ear, I finally let it all out. "With all that I have, Jiya. Every breath, every word, every kiss, every promise, with all that I have. And with all that you are, I love you, Jiya Agarwal. I love you so frikin much."

Pulling back, I took in her surprised but elated expression. Her cheeks were blush pink, eyebrows slightly raised, but she held my gaze.

Placing a hand on my chest, she leaned in. "I love you, Vihaan Khatri. With all that I have, I love you too."

Not being able to wait any longer, we both crashed against one another in ecstasy. Her lips met mine with force, and the want for more was too overwhelming to bear. I tightened my grip on her waist, caging her between me and the railing. I could feel her tightening her grip on my hair with approval, tugging for more. I met her need, delving my tongue into her mouth, tasting the remnants of the desert. Suddenly, I tasted a tinge of iron, a small throb on my lower lip. Smiling in the kiss, I left her mouth unattended and moved down her neck. Her small moan of release quickly turned into fast, hitched breaths as I began to kiss and lick her neck, finding her sweet spot. Beginning to understand her silent body language, I continued my work, knowing very well what it would leave behind. I knew I should stop, but feeling her beneath me, in my arms, welcoming me, it was just too much. This feeling that's arousing me is something I've never felt before.

The two of us together, sharing this art of love, feels...kindling.

Suddenly a strong pull at my collar had me upright and facing Jiya again. Her eyes had gone dark, checks flustered, but her confidence was strong. Jiya wrapped her hands around my neck, pulling me back in, our lips meeting once again. I could feel her hands on my body, traveling down my neck, her slipping a hand inside my shirt. Skin on skin, the bare, closeness of us pushed me over the edge, into another fantasy. As my hands roamed her back, I felt the hem of her T-shirt, and without a second thought, my hand was on the bare skin of her lower back. Her sharp breath left me frozen, unsure if I had gone too far. Our lips separated, and I immediately wished for them back. Before I could step back completely, she pressed herself against me.

"We should really stop, " she whispered, looking into my eyes.

I nodded, still frozen, not knowing how to go forward from here. The hazy look in her eyes slowly cleared as she regained her surroundings. We slowly separated, the look of our ruffled clothes brought us to an awkward silence. As we straightened them out, I stole small glances in her direction, trying to understand her emotions. I have to say something. I don't want to leave on the same awkward note as the other night.

"Jiya... I know I crossed the line-"

"Stop." Jiya moved closer. "You did nothing wrong. I consented to everything."

I opened my mouth to explain further, but she placed a finger on my lips.

"Don't. I want to enjoy a quiet moment with the person who gave me my first kiss." Resting her head on my chest, she hugged my torso.

My doubts were cleared, and I put my arms around her, resting my chin on her head. Closing my eyes, I never realized when someone else had joined us on the roof.
