Serena woke up startled, the explosions were loud and threatening, the voices of the magicians were silent and echoed all over the place despite being only whispers
Serena calmly got up and went to the window of the small room where she has been resting for the past two weeks
Outside there was chaos, explosions to one side, a fire igniting most of the gardens, some wizards flying through the air, others lying dead and lifeless.
Serena supposed that this would be the side of an alleged 'rebellion' that should have been formed to dethrone the emperor.
She didn't know much about politics but desire, ambition and greed were feelings that she was able to foresee from afar.
"Should I run?" She asked herself and when looking to the side she saw fire spreading in her room "That's why it smelled like burnt"
With a swift and strong movement of her hand she yanked the window out and put one foot on top of it "Let's run." She said and jumped
Because of the long height from which she jumped she was forced to use her power by creating a kind of ice slide that she used as a surfboard instead of slipping
Reaching the ground she jumped and the slide broke into small crystals
"THE REBELLION WILL WIN!!!" A strange man with a mustache and a big silver armor shouted raising a spear.
"YES SIR!" The wizards and knights who accompanied him agreed with him as they advanced fearlessly against a group of warriors who could no longer stand
"Well, that seems to be dangerous, I feel sorry for the innocent lives that are going to die because of this, although I still don't intend to help" Serena said running out of the castle's borders
But surprisingly the monkey mage barrier was still there, Serena punched the barrier but nothing
