A Magnificent Opus of Poetry

Death Affrights All

Would anyone care if I died tonight?

Or would I just be another soul to finally rest?

Would people mourn my death for days ?

Or would my absence won't even have an effect?

Would I be the person whom everyone remembers?

Or just someone who was unfortunate to die young?

Would people miss the sounds of my laughter?

Or would my pain remain unsung?

Would people spend a small fraction of their day,

Thinking about how I affected them?

Or would all my actions go in vain,

Because nothing would matter at the end?

This question keeps me up at night,

Will its answer somehow change the way I felt,

About the people who surround my life,

And the ones that I call my "friends"?
