After listening to this I felt a little guilty for getting annoyed at Jenna. Sighing lightly I looked at her expectedly for more explanation, seeing the look on my face she continued her explanation " After informing your father and brothers about the news , they will have to take you home with them because your custody will be handed over to your father and they won't have any say in this because of the court laws. You should probably pack everything so when they come your things should be able to ship where they live" giving her silent nod still with a neutral face I stand up from the chair and went out of the room.
Sighing I made my way towards my room. Lazily opening the door of my room , I stood at doorway for a moment analyzing the room I sighed and face planted on the bed while removing the shoes from my feet I grabbed my Bluetooth headphones from the nightstand and adjusted myself on the bed after removing the shoes.
It's been half an hour since I've been listening the music , I thought about the news Jenna gave me it felt like I was having a heart attack inside but I was still emotionless on outside. I didn't know how to react , for 4 years I only showed my emotions to Leonardo and Maximus and that only happens when we are alone , funny thing here I am already done with school and college and they failed themselves again again so they could be in the same classes as me when we were kids so nobody could get suspicious of us , I know they continued after that just like I did so now we All are seniors .
I don't know what I would have done without them. They improved me I may have learned a lot of things at institution before hand but I was still naive , just knew about the underworld but never knew about how brutal it was until I had to go through it because of 'him' now I don't have to sneak out from 'his' grasp to meet the people I love or even talk to them online.
What 'he' did to me destroyed me. I may not have to look over my shoulder for 'him' or 'his minions' but I still have one person on my list to kill , the person who took my happiness from , my only known parent from me . I don't know who he/she is but I just know that person was supposed to kill me not my mom.
•3rd PERSON P.O.V•
She shook her head and sat upright while relaxing her back on the headboard of her bed . She looked out of the window remembering the days when she was in the grasp of the devil. What he did to her will never be forgotten . She is sure that he is dead but she still have danger lurking around her. Her mind drifted to the news Jenna gave , she knew she had to have a background check of her family she thought that she will not dig deep but she will search the surface , just to know that if they are involved in the underworld. Sighing she continued to stare out the window. After some moment she got up resuming her daily routines.
•|FLASHBACK|• Looking at the clouds she always thought when she could really have the freedom . It has been 1 year and 12 months. Even if she lives with foster parents that keeps changing she has to be clever so she wouldn't get caught by his spies that are always there following her steps so she doesn't betray him. Few yards away from her right side she heard sighing.
Looking over she saw two silhouettes siting on the beach near the shore just like her. Thinking they were spies she quickly stood and took out her blades each in both hands. Slowly she creeped behind them so she could listen to their conversation. Knowing that it was not right but she has to , to confirm if they were spies.
"Man it has been so long , we just have each other and no one else" the blonde one said they both looked one or two year older than her "Yeah man I understand but sometimes what we do can get tiring" blondies friend who had brown hair said , now she was starting to get cautious thinking they were spies.
She started retreating back but her foot squished the can bottle making a loud crunching sound, which caught attention of both the boys attention. They jumped in alert and she took her fighting position nervous thinking they could be spies. Keeping a blank face she asked "Are you following me" she twirled her blades between her fingers. Both the boys were confused thinking how a young girl could use blades like professional. For safety their hand hovered over their guns tucked in their waste bands. The blonde one cleared his throat "Who are you girl? Why are you asking that we are following you when you were the one listening to our conversation?" She just shrugged in response after seeing that he was saying the truth by his eyes. The brunette asked "Where are your parents little girl" with a blank stare her response was "Don't have one".
At first sight only, Athena knew that she could trust them so she told her story. After some minutes of silence both the boys trying to comprehend everything they nodded understanding her condition, knowing they went through almost the same thing. Both the boys decided if she could tell her story then why can't they. The same understanding was felt by Athena , then she suddenly chuckled thinking they just shared each other's past but they don't even know their names. Hearing her chuckle both boys raised their eyebrows thinking why was she so amused. "I was just thinking that we shared our lives to each other but we don't even know each other's name or age" both the boys chuckled when she explained. "I am Maximus Vergas and I am 14 years old" the blond boy said "I am Leonardo Sentos and I am also 14 years old" the brunette said , Athena smiled at them a genuine smile that displayed after years "I am Athena Angel Rossera Smith and I am 12 years old" she said , pointing out her pinky finger for promise she said "Now let's promise each other that we would be friends and never leave each other's side , what we talked about today will just be between us" both the boys were in awe after she completed her sentence ,both the boys joined their pinkies together. That night they got to know each other more knowing that they would never leave each other until death break them apart.

The talk between Jenna and Athena was damn long and I Wanted to tell everyone how actually the custody of a child works, if the one parent is dead and that one had the custody of the child , the custody will automatically be transferred to the other parent and he/she doesn't get any say in this. In other books I read that the family founds out about their missing daughter and are asked if they want to adopt and they happily adopt the girl (This is actually to cliche and you are not given an option for adopting)I got bored with this so I changed the thing. I have changed description of characters and edited chapter 1 so I would prefer those who have already read the chapter please read it again cuz there's is more information there now. Yeah and in this chapter it says that they are older then Athena by two year so that is why I changed the description in characters so you guys don't get confused. Wanted to ask u guys about the note I gave u in the previous chapter about how my books will be published according to categories Q1• should I add one more book in mafia ? Q2• should I keep the fantasy category open for more books or not? Because I have seen people like fantasy books a lot P.S. Those who haven't read the note at the end of the previous chapter and comment on this P.S. I changed the description of the book because it was not matching the plot
