'Kevin' 'Kevin?' 'Kevin'

"Ok then- wait is it that?". Y/N's attention was robbed by a luminous purple light, it shone in the darkness like a light before flickering cheekily.

"Oh, yes!, could you get it? I'm kind of a hologram".

The girl scrambled before picking a mauve crystal from underneath a nearby pile of mostly dead leaves. Her fingers ran over the smooth base whilst marvelling at the minuscule bursts of colour it seemed to hold. "It's beautiful" Y/N mumbled, gazing fondly at the picturesque looking crystal.

"I know. It acts as some kind of fifth element" Corintha matter-o-factly stated.

"What? I thought there were only four".

Corintha gave small smile. "Well yes. Technically there are only four. However, quintessence is all elements moulded into this pure form of complete energy which technically qualifies it as an element but not really".

"So, Yesn't?"

"I guess".

A silence fell between the two, it didn't qualify as awkward but it wasn't exactly comfortable. However, the sudden absence of talking allowed Y/N to look up and see snowball sized, jagged parts of white and blue crystal stuck out obscurely from the cave roof.

At that moment, Y/N wished she could show this to Keith so they could both soak in the cool light.

"Who's Keith?"

Shit.

"What?"

Corintha rose a brow before a mischievous smirk sidled onto her features. "You smiled like you were happy for a moment and said 'I wish Keith could see this".

Y/N frowned at the older woman's poor (in her opinion) imitation of her. "I do not sound like that. And Keith's just a friend". A disapproving hum left the alteans lips "Sure".

Y/N squirmed on the ground in embarrassment, she'd said that out loud? Wow.

"Well, how did you end up here anyway?" This was a valiant attempt to change the subject. Thankfully, it piqued Corintha's interest (not in the most positive way though).

"Zarkon's a twat ".

"Oh".

Judging from the way Corintha crossed her arms tightly and the evident flash of fury in her presumably E/C eyes, Y/N opted not to push the matter further and ask a question that preferably wouldn't provoke the older of the two.

"In a couple of ticks I need to switch off to recharge for tomorrow," Corintha remarked sullenly, she sighed when Y/N raised a brow in surprise.

"Because I'm technically not a living being anymore" The harsh sentence caused the E/C eyed girl to look a little remorseful that she'd even asked Corintha the question in the first place.

"Tomorrow I'll tell you everything".

This statement flared up Y/N's interest so much so that she snapped out of her apologetic state to stare with rapt attention "Really? Or will you disappear and I'll never see you again?"

"What? Of course not, where am I supposed to go? I'm a hologram!"

"Oh yeah. I forgot about that".

Corintha nodded slowly before rolling her eyes. In a matter of seconds, the female hologram began to distort before bursting into a plethora of blue sparkles.

"Oh. Pretty".

Y/N slid down the wall before letting out a deep sigh of relief, now she could gather her thoughts and information.
