Chapter 2

Natsu's POV

I showed the request paper to Lucy she studied it, I glanced at Happy. "Sure why not?!" Lucy finally answered.

"Aye!" Happy cheered. I grinned and gave the request to Mira.

"Good luck!" She called as we left.

"Thank you!" Lucy called over her shoulder. I smiled at her as we walked towards the train station. 

"You llllliike her!" Happy taunted, rolling his tongue.

"I-I'm not Happy!" I answered, my face getting more red. Lucy looked at me curiously.

"Are you okay Natsu?" She asked concerned. I nodded and Happy nudged me. I shooed him away.

"No, Happy. Stop!" I grumbled, getting annoyed. Lucy was studying me carefully, her brown eyes dilated.

"What's wrong Nat--" She was cut off and looked around wildly.

"L-Lushee?" Happy asked quietly.

"T-This magic power I'm feeling!" She whispered. Her face was pale and she looked at me, very scared. As if something took hold of her. 

"Uh?" Happy and I stopped to look at her. She surprisingly took off in a run.

"Lucy!" I called running after her. What's gotten into her? I thought. Lucy stopped and she was fine for a moment, as it looked from where I was. She was staring at something ahead of her, and I couldn't tell what it was exactly.

 "L-Lushee?" Happy whispered fear shook his voice.

"Where is Natsu Dragoneel?" a voice metallic voice boomed. Lucy turned to look at me and I was astonished at what I had just seen. Her brown eyes were now black and filled with hatred. A smirk formed on her lips as she seemed to disappear in a cloud of what looked like smoke. As soon as it cleared Happy and I made a run for it.
