why don't you date a kryptonian?

and supergirl saves the day again after she uses her super strength to save the school bus from falling off the national city bridge. 

"wow... that woman is unbelievable," i gasped in pure amazement as my eyes were glued to the clips of supergirl that were playing on my tv. 

i looked up at the woman beside me as i heard a scoff from her. she turned to look at me and shrugged. 

"i don't think she's all that, honestly. just a mere millennial with a different set of dna and muscles"

now it was my turn to scoff. "yea, DUH. a different set of dna that allows her to fly and catch buildings, and never grow pimples, and have perfect hair all the time. oh, to be kryptonian" 

"if you liked them so much then why don't you date a kryptonian?" i heard her mumble under her breath. 

 lena shoves me away from her embrace before crossing her arms, looking at me in disbelief. i let out a small laugh. 

"at least i worked hard to acquire the power of science knowledge that is doing way more good for the earth than just flying around in a pretty red skirt" she rolled her eyes. 

i knew she was getting jealous, and at this point i was just having fun teasing my girlfriend. i pursed my lips and pretended to think harder.  

"well, YEAHHHH but... imagine being able to shoot lasers out of your eyes! and god, im telling you, i could jump out the window right now and i just know she'll save me," my eyes widened at my own words. 

i stood up from the couch and walked towards the balcony "oh my god should i do it? i've always wanted to see her in person"

"Y/N! are you out of your damn mind?!" lena yelled out before scurrying over to where i was walking and grabbed me. 

i couldn't help but fall to the floor laughing at my girlfriend's reaction. i looked up to see lena's priceless expression, making me clutch my stomach as i laughed even harder. every time i looked back up to her i just ended up laughing again. 

this went on for a good minute before i noticed lena was sat on the floor opposite where i was just dying of laughter a few seconds prior. 

"lena luthor, you are the most adorable little bean, especially when you get jealous" i cooed as i annoyingly pinched her cheeks. i knew she hated this, me calling her cute and treating her like a child. 

but i loved the way she crinkled her nose in annoyance whenever i do these things. she is adorable, but she just chooses to play on to her alpha female girlboss self. which is very attractive too, if i do say so myself. 

"and you, are the biggest piece of shit i've ever dated"

my jaw dropped at the insult that was just thrown at me by my girlfriend. before i could retaliate, i heard a whooshing sound from the balcony. confused, i turned around and oh my god. 

there she was, in red and blue, standing in her signature superhero pose. 

her hair really is perfect all the damn time!

i simply could not believe my eyes. i tried blinking profusely and pinching myself and she was still there. we eventually made eye contact before she flashed me her famous smile. 

"s....su..sup-"

lena cut me off as stood up and walked towards the superhero "supergirl. what was so urgent that you needed to appear at my place of rest and privacy? i thought we talked about this. even just appearing at my office is already violating as it is, and now-"

"lena. i'm sorry but the DEO really needs you now. it's an emergency. let's go, i'll fly you there" supergirl breathed out with pleading yet urgent eyes. 

if it was possible, my jaw would've dropped to the floor. "uh... babe?" i called out as i walked towards my girlfriend. 

she sighed and turned to me. "when were you going to tell me you and supergirl were friends?!" i said angrily, smacking her on the arm. 

"we're not friends" both of them said simultaneously. 

geez... a lot to unpack here.  

"but, i do have to go and see what they need me for. i'll be back soon. i love you, don't wait up" she said softly before grabbing her essentials and pecking my lips. 

i watched, still in awe as she walked towards supergirl and stood in position beside her. 

"you're going to FLY with supergirl?! what the hell!" i cried out in pure amazement and fascination. i saw lena giving me a knowing look before i heard supergirl's voice. 

"it was nice meeting you, y/n. maybe i'll take you for a fly sometime" my face lit up even brighter after realising that THE supergirl knew my name, and she's going to take me... for a fly!

"oh don't you even think about it, kryptonian!" i heard my girlfriend yell as supergirl flew them up and across the city in minutes.
