Chapter 1: How About a Break

"Im so tired." complained Ronin as he and his group of friends walked out of the school. "Oh c'mon now, school isn't that bad" stated Enzo. "But your also the smartest in the group. By far the smartest." Abella said.

It was spring break and they had the week off. It had been months since their last break which was at Christmas.

"Anyone down to come party at my house tonight?" asked Dakota. "Nobody wants to go to your rundown house." Explained Malakai. Malakai was quick to pick at people. He believed he was the most superior just because he was the most physically fit.

"I'm tired of partying every few weekends." Said Tori. "Why don't we switch it up?" "And do what exactly? There's not a single thing to do in this shitty town." Malakai joked. "Then why don't we leave the town since that suits you." Evelyn said striking back at Malakai. He sarcastically chuckled shooting her a dirty look.

"Why don't we go to a different state, or even to the beach? We have the whole week and weekend." Elijah suggested. "I'm not oppose to leaving the state." The group discussed where they wanted to travel to.

"Where would you like to travel to Evelyn?" Asked Elijah trying to flirt with her. "Shut the hell up." she replied.

Elijah had crushed on Evelyn for a while now. Most boys crushed on her at some point. Her long dark hair with blue eyes could pull anybody.

"I had a project I was working on in social studies," said Enzo stepping forward. "I was researching some islands and I came across this one island. I think it was called Avalon. Apparently it's a beautiful island in the Indian oncean." The group went silent. Then Malakai spoke saying, "Is there girls in bikinis there?" Abella slugged him on the arm. It angered him as he stepped toward her saying, "You really want to go there? You know I would beat your ass." She stood her ground as she starred him in the eyes. He stepped back mocking her. She ignored him.

Enzo spoke up breaking the awkward silence. "Sooooo, how does Avalon sound?". Nobody spoke for a minute before Dakota replied with, "I'm all for it." Ronin agreed with her. Eventually everyone concluded visiting the Island of Avalon.

"I can pay for it." Said Evelyn. "Yeah because your rich." replied Victoria acting like she was throwing money out. They laughed and continued to walk home.
