"The Nomu outbreak has officially reac—" The blaring sound of an alarm cut off the newswoman.

"This is an emergency alert message. The following message has been transmitted at the request of the Center for Disease Control. This is not a test. Please standby for the following instructions." A robotic voice on the common room television began to broadcast and all your classmates shifted uneasily at the announcement.

"Turn that shit off! We already know about the fucking Nomu outbreak." You yelled at Midoriya, but he was too transfixed to hear anything.

You had just gotten back from your long and exhausting shift with some of your other classmates. All you wanted to do was shower and sleep until your next shift started, but with all the noise and frantic energy you knew that wouldn't happen.

"I think this is about something else, Bakubro. You might want to listen." Kirishima retorted as he spared you a quick glance before turning back to the monitor. You glared at him for saying that ridiculous nickname but stopped shouting to listen.

"There is an actual disease going around." Kaminari stated as he scrolled through his cell phone for new updates.

"This might be connected to the Nomu outbreak, so we should pay close attention." Yaoyorozu motioned for everyone to come closer.

"Civil authorities have issued a contagious disease warning. The districts of Kanto, Chubu, and Tohoku have been terrorized by residents who resemble humanistic Nomu. They are swarming across the city, biting residents, and turning them into what we are calling infected humans." The robotic voice announced as you walked closer to hear better.

"This can't be happening. My family is still out there." Ashido cried as she squeezed a pillow to her chest.

"Mine too." Kirishima sympathized just before pulling out his phone to contact them.

The Nomu outbreak began about a week ago. All pro, retired and local heroes, and heroes in training, along with police forces, have been on rotation to keep the Nomu contained in Kanto. Shigaraki, the number one most-wanted villain, released over five hundred of them to the public all in one day. It was difficult for the heroes and police to keep the Nomu at bay and over the last three days, they have slipped through and entered the neighboring districts.

"These actions are believed to be caused by a virus found in the original Nomu's DNA. Not by a human or quirk. The disease is only spread if the Nomu's DNA mixed with yours or if you are bitten by the infected. The Japanese Self-Defense Force will contain all infected residents in Kanto, Chubu, and Tohoku to prevent further spread. Japanese civil authorities have also issued a shelter-in-place for all three districts. If you reside in those areas, lock all doors and windows. Do not attempt to leave without an SDF, hero, or police escort. Only call hospitals, police stations, and hero agencies if it is an emergency. Please shelter in your residence until further notice." The robotic voice on the television finished informing its listeners.

"This is insane." Midoriya muttered as he lowered the volume to the television in case another update came through.

"First All Might dies, then Endeavor is severely wounded, and now this." Ojiro solemnly said as he dropped his head.

"What are we going to do?" Sero asked with concern riding his voice.

"We can't just let our families survive on their own." Uraraka said shyly as she looked over to Midoriya for reassurance. He only looked down to contemplate.

"Listen up." Aizawa entered the common area. "UA has announced that all students and staff are to remain here until SDF come to evacuate us."

"What about our families? Ribbit." Asui asked nervously.
