This is a prologue to my story on : Daniel Walsh and the Dragon Chronicles.
PROLOGUE
“Daniel, don’t just stand there! Help me!” An unfamiliar girl’s voice said. Who is she? How did I get here? And what is that 30 feet tall, yellow fanged, green eyed, scaly monster she was fighting? I should help! I mean she shouldn’t be fighting that beast alone!
But that’s the problem, I couldn’t move at all.
The creature slashed its big claws at her and she refluxed back. She was struggling to get to her dainty feet, She ran to a big oak tree that was full on its leaves and began to climb it. She jumped from the tree like a flying squirrel on to the creature’s back. It was struggling to reach its mid-section of the back to get her. But it was to late. She grabbed out her sword that was hanging in her belt loop and struck it in the pulse of the neck of the creature.
Green, steaming liquid ran out of the wound and in three seconds, it fell onto the heavy grassed ground. There was a big breeze of thin warm wind sprinting threw my hair.
How the hell did she do that?! She just killed a huge, thick monster in front of me! Ugh, I think I’m going to be sick!
She sauntered toward me with a glare so intimidating in her deep hazel eyes i think I was about to piss myself.
“Why the hell were you just standing there when I needed your help!” She shouted in an angry tone.
Amazed and dumb-founded I said, “I- Where am I?” I gazed my eyes everywhere to try to recognize this place. There was an orange sky with grey gruesome clouds, the grass was full and thick in the soil. There was only one tree in this area, and it was the one the girl was climbing on. I returned my eyes on her. She was looking impatient for me to return to my normal state. I realized my mouth was open, so I quickly shut it.
She sighed, “My name is Elizabeth Reed.” She held out her hand for me to shake. I held out mine after hers. And just when I was about to touch her light tanned skin, I woke up with a stinging inhale.
