Villainess! Your Father Wants to Marry Me!

Prologue

 "It may sound absurd but, My Lady..." The woman paused "If you're so tired, why don't you run away with me?' 

My heart thumped so fast when the woman offered her hand for me. The bright smile on her face is very reassuring. I want to accept it. I want to run away. I wanted to change my life. Can this woman give me a new life?

Stop thinking Maria! This is definitely a scam!

I quickly slapped her hands away from me. "G-Get off that filthy hands away from me! What do you take me for? A fool? You're probably trying to deceive me!" I wipe the tears from my eyes and step away from the woman. "Listen! I do not need your help. I will allow your impertinence today because you patiently listened to my nonsense"

The face of the woman seemed in shock when I showed her that behavior.  She smiled at me. "I  understand My Lady. I shall take my leave now" She slowly turned her back at me. I wanted to stop her when she started to walk away from me.

But I have pride as a Noble. 

The warmth that I felt when she asked me to run away with her. I wanted to feel it once more. I wanted to take her hands to run away from this miserable life.

The woman stopped walking. "Ahh, My Lady" The woman spoke. "Please do not give up. One day, you'll live a satisfying life."

Lies. She's lying.

My life is broken how can I achieve that kind of life now?

But I won't lie. 

I regretted that I didn't accept her offer.

"If Heaven will give me a chance, I will take your hands and run away with you" 

It was the words that came out of my mouth before they started my execution. Each of the people who were here is watching me with their mocking gaze.

I, Maria Eleonor Chavez, the most wicked of them all. Is about to be executed for all of the unforgivable sins that I committed. 

"We are here to witness the execution of a wicked woman. Maria Eleonor Chavez, because of your unforgivable sins. Treachery including the attempt to murder the crown princess. Death will be your punishment"

A bitter smile appeared on my face.

"Prince Ian..." I call for the person that I loved the most. Our eyes met. "Did you know that your eyes gave me hope when I met you for the first time" I spoke with a lifeless tone. "Forgive me for trying to kill it. For trying to seize it by taking your beloved's life"

"Nonsense!" A man said. He was about to throw me a rock but the prince stopped him

"Stop..." Ian said in a cold tone. 

"I made a mistake by believing that someone like you can love me" This is the last chance to free myself from this false love. "If we happen to meet again. I promise that I won't fall for you."

"...I understand" He replied to me as he turned his back on me. 

"PROCEED TO THE EXECUTION!"

My eyes went to the crowd. A familiar man with white hair like me is watching me from afar. I couldn't see his expressions but I knew that it was him...

 "Father..." I uttered. 

I closed my eyes and waited for my bitter death. 

I heard the crowd cheered when I felt my head decapitated from my body. So, this is the feeling of death.

It feels... Empty

No, I am Empty.

'Please do not give up. One day, you'll live a satisfying life'

It's too late. Living a satisfying and happy life was all too late.

But If Heaven will give me a chance, I will take your hands and run away with you.

"My Lady. Let me be frank with you. Pushing that woman on the staircase is wrong," An angelic voice echoed in my ears. "But I cannot deny that you live miserably. You crave for love"

It was the voice of an angel. Am I in heaven? I am a sinner, right? How did I end up in heaven?

"I do not mean to offend you, but you should love yourself first before it became too late. You're loving a wrong person" 

I slowly opened my eyes when I heard her spoke again. 

Something is wrong! This is familiar!

A beautiful woman welcomed my sight as I opened my eyes. Shoulder-length midnight black hair, an angelic face, and enchanting black eyes. 

Her appearance is familiar.

Did I really die? 

The tears that I kept hiding behind my facade broke and fell on my cheeks. My heart is beating so fast in excitement. If I am dreaming, then please don't wake me up. 

I can't believe that God allowed me to come back two years before my execution...

Two years before I completely break life.

If this is really happening...

Then I will thank heaven for answering my only wish.

The woman asked me a familiar question. For the first time in my life, I've felt pure happiness in my heart. No words can express how grateful I am. 

Can I really change my life now?

She extended her hands. The woman gave me a bright smile. A very reassuring smile that could give my heart warmth that I crave for a long time. No hesitations can stop me this time.

With no hesitation, I accepted her hands. "If I could change my life... I would go with you" I said.

The woman was surprised by my answer. She laughs as she dries the tears on my cheeks "If you will not hesitate, your life might change tremendously" She said. "But My Lady, Are you sure about this? The impertinence that came from my mouth was so sudden. I didn't really mean it--"

"You can't take back your words when I already agreed. I'll run away from our home, so I will be in your care" I said in desperation. "If you will take back your words. I will only break my life"

"EH? B-But My Lady!"

"I am Maria Eleonor what's your name?" I asked.

The woman seemed to be in daze. She scratched her cheeks as she answers my question. "My name is Gabriella. It's nice to meet you. Maria"

Gabriella, It is a name of an angel. It suits her.

If I want to change my life. I would like to run away with this angel. I may not sure if this could change my miserable life, but I'll give it a try.

Goodbye, Prince Ian. Goodbye... Father.

This time. I will surely change my life.
