Chapter 8: The Herd VS The Pirates

"No" Noa gasped

"Oh, no. The land bridge" Diego gasped

"But if it's gone, then how are we gonna-" Sid started when Diego cut him off

"Sid"

"No! They have to be on the other side" Manny exclaimed

"Manny, there is no other side" Diego sighed

"They have to be there!" Manny exclaimed

"Mom! Dad!" Noa shouted as Diego heard the desperation in her voice as he felt sorry for her

"Ellie! Peaches! I'm here!" Manny yelled

"Please, she's got to be here" Manny trembled as everyone was silent when they thought they'd lost Ellie and Peaches, while Noa tried to hold her tears in, because she thought she'd also lost her family as she sunk into her knees

Diego walked over to her and wrapped his arm around her, when they suddenly heard a faint yell in the distance

"Wait, wait, did you hear that?" Manny asked

"Manny-" Diego started

"No, I-I heard something" Manny replied

"I heard it too" Noa gasped happily as they looked forward and saw a figure coming out of the fog

"Is that-" Diego started

"Peaches? There she is!" Manny yelled in joy

"Dad!" Peaches called

"We're coming, sweetie! Don't move!" Manny shouted Manny shouted as he corrected the steering stick

"Daddy!" Peaches shouted

"Peaches!" Manny exclaimed happily when they heard a evil laughter coming from Captain Gutt as he appeared out of the fog and held the teen mammoth around the neck

"Welcome home, Daddy" Gutt chuckled evilly

"Let go of me!" Peaches grunted as Manny and Noa gasped

"You!" Noa hissed

"What are the odds? We were just talking about you guys" Gutt sneered as he looked at Manny and Noa when he walked to the middle of his new ship

"You like the new ship? I call her Sweet Revenge" Gutt said as the blue footed booby flew above past the group

"And look here. We've got the catch du jour" the bird  taunted as they saw Ellie, Leah and Victor tied up to a chunk of ice that was being tightened by the pirates

"Ellie!" Manny exclaimed worriedly followed by Noa

"Mom! Dad!"

"We're all right. Let my daughter go" Ellie demanded Gutt as she glared at him, who just chuckled

"It's okay. He wants us. And he's gonna get us" Noa snapped

"Noa, don't-" Diego tried to protest when he heard a weak grunt, he looked over to the other ship and saw Shira struggling to get up, when she steadied herself, she looked at Diego with a pained expression as Diego looked worriedly at her

"Sacrificing yourselves for your families. How touching. How predictable. Now come and get them" Gutt yelled out as Raz shoved the plank over to their ship once the two bergs were tethered together by the ropes

Manny and Noa crossed as they glared at the ape

"All right, let them go" Manny insisted as Noa stood close to him while Gutt chuckled
