Chapter 6: The Plan to go Home

The next morning, Manny quickly gathered the group, including the the hyraxes, after going over the plan for a thousand times, they all knew what they supposed to do, if they didn't screw up, they would go home immediately

"Okay, we need precision timing from everyone to get that ship. Half-pint, you've got your end covered, right?" Manny asked the lead hyrax, the lead hyrax let's out a few yells as he took his battle position, and so did the others

"Going to take that as a yes. Diego?" Manny asked the saber

"I'll free his little friends" Diego replied

"Noa?" Manny asked

"I'll make sure none of the pirates double back before we've finished, if they do, I'm on it" Noa replied

"Sid and Granny?" Manny asked the two sloths

"Sir! Untie the ship, sir!" Sid exclaimed as he stood in position

"Right. Unwind the vines. Don't let go until we're all on board. We're relying on you, Sid. You got that?" Manny asked

"Oh, yes, sir. Totally focused, sir" Sid replied

"Don't worry. It'll be easy since we don't have to guard Shira anymore" Granny began as everyone turned their looks to the tree prison that Shira has escaped as everyone gasped as Noa and Diego hurried to the edge as they saw the sabress sprinting to the ship

"We need to move now" Manny stated as Diego nodded, Noa felt betrayed and disappointed, she hoped that she convinced Shira, her own aunt, to go with them, so she could reunite with her sister

She shook it off, because she had a job to do. The herd got down the cliff and got into their positions, Noa and Diego ran up the side of the ravine and Noa lowered herself while Diego stood back behind her

Manny hid in the trees at the bottom of the cliff that was several hundred yards away from the ship as he tried not to be seen, Sid and Granny were with him until it's their cue to untie the ship

Diego and Noa heard and saw everything between Shira and Gutt

When they all heard the horn, it had begun

The hyraxes came up the hill as they were riding each other's backs while they let out a war cry. Which sounded like high-pitched squeaks, Noa and Diego could hear Gutt and his crew laughing out loud at the mere notion that anything as small as the hyraxes would dare to stand against the pirates, the hyrax then grabbed a bigger horn and blowed through it that created a more deeper, and more intimidating sound that echoed throughout the canyon as

A mammoth appeared on top of the hill and not even 5 seconds later, the entire crew, including Shira who were led by Gutt ran towards the hill as swift as possible towards the hyrax army and the mammoth

Noa watched the pirates closely as Diego ran down onto the rocky path on the cliff towards the imprisoned hyraxes, while Sid and Granny walked towards the ship, they were almost done with unwinding the ship

"Don't let- Oh, yum-o!" Sid exclaimed in excitement as he grabbed a berry, as he was about to eat it, Noa's eyes widened in alarm

"Sid, no. It's a lotus berry. It'll paralyze you" Diego warned as all of the releases hyraxes were clinging onto his body in gratefulness

"Oh, please. I know my berries" Sid scoffed as he put the berry in his mouth

"Don't-" Diego started when it was too late and Sid swallowed it

"Swallow" Diego sighed annoyed

"See, I'm fine. If there's one thing I know, it's berries" Sid stated as his whole body flopped to the ground and was completely paralyzed and couldn't talk
