I walked through his apartment as he showed me around. It was considerably larger than mine and had a more modern feel to it. The walls were a rich white, reflecting the sun's beams which dived in through the large windowed doors leading to a balcony.

The furniture was a dark navy and gold with plants around the room and two large doors with mirrors in the indents of the wood. Everything about his house had a warming feel to it making me comfortable even though I was in a strangers house.

I followed the loud crashes and banging of baking trays to the kitchen where he was standing with his back to me looking at a frying pan. The room was filled with the pungent smell of batter and strawberries.

He spun around holding the pan and sliding a pancake onto a plate with flowers painted around the edge. He motioned for me to take a seat on the stool which was hidden under the island in the middle of the room.

We ate in almost silence with a few glances up at each other every so often. I would catch him staring at me as he snapped his gaze away quickly blushing pink which would only make my cheeks flush a rosy red.

"Would you like me to take you home?" He questioned as he washed up and I helped by drying them. I think about it but do I really want some random hot guy knowing where I live?

"Thank you." I reply nervously. "But... I should be okay thank you. " I look down avoiding his stare.

"Sure? It wouldn't be any hassle." He answers, taking the tea towel out my hands and using it to dry his own. "I'll do the rest." He smiles picking up the last mixing bowl and wiping it clean of foamy bubbles.

I collect my things together and carry them in my arms to the door while he helps to fold them and put them into my handbag. We awkwardly take the elevator and out the building to the front as he smiles at me.

We say a quick goodbye before I turn down the now busy city street and walk back to my old small apartment. I skipped home with a glisten to my eyes as a warm feeling began to spread out from my chest and over my whole body.

The week goes by quickly and all I can think about is him. I didn't have his number or anything and I will probably never see him again but I still hope.

I tell Mia Lily about everything as over the past weeks she has become like my sister. We go out to lunch everyday and talk about all the gossip from work. She tells me about this guy she met the other day and how he was taking her out.

She is speaking about which restaurant they are going to but I zone out thinking about him. Suddenly she clicks her fingers in front of my eyes making me jump. We burst out laughing as she continued talking.

"Are you thinking about him?" She interrogated me with a large grin over her face already knowing the answer. The blush over my face answers for me as the both of us burst out into fits of laughter. "Do you want to get over him or stick it out to see if he comes back?"

I almost spit my drink out at her question as I pick up a napkin to wipe my face while she laughs. "I'm being serious, Am." she gives me a serious glare before a smile forms across her face and continues. "You could come on a double date with me and Ethan." A smile at how much she seems to be liking this new guy, Ethan.

She starts clapping her hands in excitement as I roll my eyes. "Yeah we'll see about that later." I laugh stuffing the crust of my sandwich in my mouth. "I will wait a while as I don't think he knows I work here."

"Oooh so we are waiting for the coffee shop shift so he can come in again and see you. I like that idea. Make sure you look your best." She laughs as I can't contain it any longer and joins her.

"The typical movie and book meetings. The best!" She laughs even harder.
