I quickly slid my converse on before rushing out the door. Granola bar in mouth and bag sliding down arm.

I had missed the bus and called Carter to see if he wouldn't mind driving me.

My parents leave early every morning so asking them wasn't an option.

Carter per usual said he'd be there in twenty minutes which he was.

I sprinted towards the dark blue mazda mx5.

It had snowed last night so I was also trying to avoid the icy patch's of the driveway. Finally sliding to a stop.

Seeing not just Carter but two other heads inside the seats if the gorgeous looking car.

I sighed seeing that Jay was sitting shotgun then flung the door open with a grunt.

Dex gave me a confused glance as I gripped my seat belt and flung it over myself and into the buckle.

At this point all three boys were giving me looks and I sighed in response.

"What happened to you?" Dex grunted.

I turned to him with a glare that could put his very own to shame. He made a small flinch before turning away from me.

"What's got your panties in a twist? Was Richard howling at the moon again?" Jay teased as Carter slowly started to pull away from my house.

I rolled my eyes well setting my bag down beside Dex and I.

"I was finishing up an assignment last night than fell asleep around two this morning"

The boys sucked in a quick breath.

"Are you alright? We could just skip today"Carter suggested looking at me through the rearview mirror.

"I say that's the best idea I've heard all day" Jay grinned.

I frowned will fixing my hair, "If it were any other day I'd agree with you but this assignments worth a lot of marks"

"What's a few marks to an awesome day off with your besties?" Jay commented, shrugging in his seat.

"I'll take my chances with the few marks," I replied, hearing Jay's pathetic sigh of sadness.

"What's this assignment about anyways?" Dex asked.

I shifted in my seat to look up at him then shrugged, "It's a poetry assignment from English class" I replied, glancing at my bag.

"Sounds absolutely boring!"Jay groaned well leaning in his seat.

"What's so boring about expressive literature...you know what now that I'm explaining it..."Carter mumbled off, taking a sharp turn left.

I shrugged, "Well the assignment was nothing to write home about." I muttered, turning to glance out the window.

"I don't even need poetry class. Watch, there once was a man named Dex, he enjoyed reading, cooking, and having se-"

"-Hey man what the hell?!" Dex shouted, kicking on Jays seat.

Jay shrugged, turning in his seat to face Dex,
"What? You didn't let me finish"

"And I don't think we ever will,"Carter sighed.

The car turned down another road, we were about five minutes away from the high school and yet with all this bickering it felt like I've been sitting in the car for hours.

"You know maybe there wouldn't have been so much bickering if you hadn't picked up these two"

I suggested to Carter pointing to Dex and Jay who both gave hurt looks.
