The Stars of another Reality

• Chapter 4 •

The next morning Skylar groaned a little as she slowly woke up, hearing her pokemon giggling at the foot of her bed. She finally opened her eyes to see that she was against someone's chest, looking up slightly to see the sleeping fairy gym leader Bede. The teen blushed furiously and quickly but carefully backed away and got off the bed 'DID WE START CUDDLING IN OUR SLEEP!? Oh Arceus this is embarrassing!!... At least I was the first to wake up though...' she thought before looking at her pokemon "shusshhh!!!" She whisper-yelled, tensing up when she heard Bede shuffle in his sleep but sighed of releif when he didn't end up waking up. Skylar grabbed her clothes and went inside the bathroom to change.

(Time skip)

Once everyone got back to Motsoke they went into Kabu's gym, but Skylar got a phone call before they where all inside... "I'll be right back guys" she spoke before answering the phone...

Sonia was on a flying taxi on her way to Kabu's gym. "Hello?? Skylar?"

"Hey professor what's up?"

"I'm on my way to Motsoke, I need you to be there, alone... Theres vital information you have to know and not tell the others unless you have to, this is for emergencies only." Sonia replied, seeing Skylar on the ground and telling the taxi to land, she hung up once she reached the ground.

Skylar looked at Sonia with concern "Sonia you look like you haven't slept in days..."

"Eh... coffee and adrenaline... got about an hour last night, luckily it gave me the time to finish this though..." Sonia replied, giving her a box of vials...

Skylar took the box and raised a brow "what's this Sonia??"

"A serum to reverse rage... This should be information your Mom handles but she's MIA so I have no choice but to rely on you... one of our friends had created an AI out of Alien tech about 4 years ago... but it malfunctioned... he wanted extra information and to be able to make holograms with his hands to keep track of his research... but his AI malfunctioned, possessing his body through the chip in his neck... he has something planned, but I don't know what. We can't go to police, not only is the AI too strong and smart, but the one he is hurting most besides pokemon, is my friend Dimitri..." Sonia explained... "I... I don't wanna hurt him, I can't. He-... Micheal... the AI... he visited me the other night with a couple projects, this is one of them. A cure to a serum he's created to put pokemon under an endless rage and forcing them to dynamax..."

Skylar took a minute to process all of this... "I... I understand... this could pose a threat to alotta people, and could easily kill all of Galar if we can't stop it... If I'm correct, based on the information you gave me... Mom must be friends with Dimitri aswel, right?.."

Sonia nodded "we are a group of 4... Dimitri and I are the main scientists, Kelly is the nurse, and Lusamine is both."

Skylar nodded "I take it that Dimitri- er... Micheal... is why Mom had certain trips that I couldn't come along for in the past 4 years? Or if I did I would be with the pokemon instead of you guys?"

Sonia nodded "unfortunately yes. We didn't want you to stress so we kept you with our baby pokemon and our healing pokemon whenever Kelly did bring you..."

Skylar nodded "as the child of my mother, I have the responsibility to fill in her shoes while she's gone... I'll do my best professor."

Sonia smiled softly "please, just call me Sonia... you're family, Sky. I've known you since you where born, there's no need for the formalities" she reassured.

Skylar put the box in her bag and smiled a little "alright, now go get some rest.. if anything happens we'll handle it"

Sonia hugged Skylar softly... "thank you... I'm so sorry, I never wanted to put this on you..." she spoke before going back into the taxi and leaving
