Sixty Eight | Yeet Then Fall

Steve jumps down a level as Bucky keeps punching the cops. Bucky tosses one of them over the railing and Steve catches him, stopping the cop from falling. He looks at Bucky wearily, shaking his head.

"Come on, man."

Bucky glares back at Steve with the same tiredness. Steve throws the cop up onto the landing. Bucky breaks a banister and swings down on it. Steve hurls a cop over his shoulders. A cop aims at Bucky and Steve knocks the gun from his hands with his shield which sticks into the wall. Bucky leaps down the stairwell and catches onto a railing. Steve pulls his shield out of the wall. Bucky climbs up then runs along a corridor and leaps off a balcony to the lower roof of the neighboring building. He doesn't notice (y/n) on the roof, and crashes into her. He pushes himself off her to not squash her body, both of them groaning at the impact.

"What the hell are you doing here?" he seethed.

"Trying to save your ass." she glared back. Bucky pushes her off of him, grabbing his backpack which he had thrown out earlier. As (y/n) attempts to talk to Bucky, she instinctively pulls out a gun from her thigh holster and shoots from behind him, eyebrows furrowing together in frustration when the electric pellets ricochets off of the mystery man as if it were nothing but plastic.

Bucky turns around, seeing the mystery man, clad entirely in black, resembling a cat. As he does this, the man sweep kicks Bucky, knocking him down, but Bucky quickly makes it back on his feet. The man extends his fingers and sharp claws pop out. (y/n) tilts her head to the side, cracking her fingers and quickly gets into fighting position, taking her sticks, charging them up a (f/c) glow as the man proceeds to attack Bucky with sweeping kicks and slashes. Bucky fights back, the man alternating from fighting between both Bucky and (y/n) perfectly and with ease.

(y/n) pushes herself back as a sign of surrendering, noticing how the Black Panther's claws were easily cutting into her sticks, resorting once again to guns as the Black Panther focuses on Bucky, swiping his claws at Bucky, who narrowly avoids them, holding up a metal bar to protect himself.

Steve looks down at them from the top building as Falcon swoops in the sky. Steve presses onto his comms as he watches the fight. "Sam, southwest rooftop."

"Who the hell's the other guy?"

"About to find out." Steve huffed, leaping off from the balcony down onto the neighboring building as a chopper flies up.

The Black Panther lunges at Bucky with his claws, but Bucky grabs his wrists, using his strength to keep him in place, using him as a shield as a soldier fired a machine gun from the chopper, the ammo bouncing off Black Panther's armored suit.

"Sam!" (y/n) yells as she continues to shoot her pellets at the soldiers coming in to handle the machine gun.

"I got you girl." Sam flies down, retracting his wings as he pushes the chopper off course, swooping towards street level before reactivating his suit, heading back into the sky.

Bucky breaks free right after Sam's rescue, slinging his bag on his back, running off and jumping down a level. (y/n) sighs exhaustedly and runs after him, shooting her grappling hook gun, and swinging down, running after him as fast as she could. The Black Panther slides down the wall using his claws for traction, following after the duo angrily.

Steve follows them and lands, rolling along the ground, wincing as a chopper from above tears up the sidewalk in pursuit of Bucky, (y/n), and the Black Panther. Bucky jumps down through an opening and lands in an underpass, deciding to run through the traffic. The Black Panther and Steve drop down as well and chases after Bucky.

(y/n) looks down and sighs, turning away and running forward in an opposite direction. A Special Forces vehicle pursues them, closing in on them, blue lights flashing. Steve leaps onto the vehicle and splinters the windshield. The driver stops, unable to see a thing before Steve yanks him from the vehicle and kicks the windshield out, driving off.
