Her life in the past year has been on big revelation for Baek Jang-mi.

When she decided to quit her life of crime, she expected 'normal' life to be boring. What would it be like to just look at person and not wonder what's the proper timing to pick their stuff or think of whether you will draw your weapon or not?

The biggest change, she had to admit, was falling in love.

After all, how did a person in her position learn about love when her life started without it? She only knew about survival, loneliness and abandonment.

In a very rare instance, fate was kind to her and brought her Min Tae Gu. They both saw how horrible this world could be and yet, somehow, that lead the way to a happiness she had never known possible. The experience taught her that she could care for someone so deeply that she never wanted to be far from him.

It wasn't a surprise that she was doing this now to protect Min Tae Gu. As the day that she was going to rejoin the team approached, Jang-mi worried that maybe she hadn't changed.

What if I realize I miss this life and want to get back to it?

What if I am still that horrible person I left years ago?

Whatever doubts her mind threw at her, it would also remind her that she had Min Tae Gu now. And, for both her heart and mind, he was her non-negotiable.

Waking up without him beside her immediately made her grumpy. As soon as she had fixed herself up, she went out and initially planned to demand for someone to cook breakfast for her. But, then she recalled that she was in enemy territory. Not wanting to be poisoned, she cooked breakfast for herself.

Sitting on the dining table alone, she murmured, "This is not too bad. Your cooking is better, though. What are you having for breakfast, Darling?"

Park Jung Tae was the first one up. As usual, he gave her a lustful look that made her skin crawl. Jang-mi was only wearing exercise leggings and a shirt, all in black, which she felt made her look crappy. However, she has always been a pretty lady. Being loved and cared for and having a sense of security with a person she loved brought a glow to her that made her even more beautiful. Beautiful... even if her eyes were missing its twinkle currently.

Sitting across her, Park Jung Tae asked, "Where's my breakfast?"

"You're hungry?" Jang-mi asked.

Park Jung Tae nodded. "Yes, Jagiya."

Jang-mi rolled her eyes. "Make one on your own. And stop calling me 'Jagiya'." Standing up and taking her plate, she started heading back to her room but Park Jung Tae yelled.

"Why you piece of shit," he took big strides to reach her, furious at what she said.

Breaking the plate then holding out her fork, she held them out to protect her. "Not one step closer or I take your eye out."

That stopped the man in his tracks.

"You sl--"

"Wrong. I'm a queen. Now shut it," Jang-mi said, flatly. Sensing that Park Jung Tae will not move further, she looked at the mess. "What a waste of good food."

There were fortunately no more incidents in the afternoon and evening when the group spent most of the time getting Jang-mi up to speed on the plans.

"There's a convention for top bankers that starts in a week," Kang Man-ok started. "We will use that time to grab their possessions and get their information. The information will be passed to our partners who have cyber criminals."
