The ladies blushed but Ms. Lance broke the uncomfortable silence. "Well from what we know she's a great headmistress," She nods raising a brow.

"Yea," Mrs. Henry adds. "And she's marrying a soon-to-be doctor."

"Is he cute?" Ms. Riley asked with a grin.

"Oh, he's more than cute. He's extremely-"

Suddenly the static from the mic sounded throughout the room causing people to cover their ears. Ms. Joyce, the fat older lady from the office walked onto the stage with her regular overused lipstick lips. She smiled, making the camera point to her, the two screens above her showed a much clearer, much bigger picture of her.

"Good Evening, staff and parents of Riverdeck Academy. I'm terribly sorry about the whole static thing," She giggled nervously. "Well we all know about the issue we've had with the whole former headmaster and Ms. Blake situation, so we've been assigned someone new. Someone much more capable of taking better care of our staff, our school, but more importantly our children. So please give a warm and loving welcome to our brand new headmistress, Adaline Dylans."

Claps erupted from the crowd while my hands — my whole body froze at the name. A woman I had missed dearly with a familiar man walked onstage with a cat in his arms. She looked like she was breaking inside as she shakily approached the podium. The man beside her wrapped his free arm around her waist comfortingly as she took in deep breaths.

"G-Good Evening everyone. It's nice to see so many faces around tonight, I would just like to say that — um — I'm honored to work in the most prestigious academy Maimi has to offer and I'm glad that you all welcomed me with warm arms," She took in a strangled breath before the man beside her who use to be a boy, comfortingly kissed her head.

My breath was shaky as I watch the interaction in what seemed to be slow motion.

"It's been a tough year for a lot of you — lots of confusion and unanswered questions but I guarantee as your children's new guardian I will handle bring your i-issue to light and-and make sure the things that need completion, get complete...Um, thank you, and good night." She quickly rushed off the stage with the man cradling her closely. I moved closer to the two as I watched them exchange a few words — words that looked frustrating before watching the woman take off out the gymnasium doors.

"Lorenzo," I heard Saude's voice from behind me call. "I'm not going crazy am I? Because I could've sworn I just saw-"

"I know..." I breathed out.

I thought I was seeing things too. Maybe the woman was a different person with the same name. Maybe the punch was spiked. Maybe I'm just hallucinating. My heart was beating out my chest as my thoughts ran while with explanations to who I just saw, or how.

"I thought you said her dad made her run off to Arizona to live with lover boy." He asked.

"I said that," I groaned turning around to see the familiar man running his fingers through his blonde hair frustratedly. "But she's back and with him."

"You're going after mommy, right daddy?" Esme asked with teary eyes.

I nodded, crouching down to my daughter. "Of course, I'll be right back okay?"

She nodded and I took off out the doors. I hurried down the many halls of the school before finally making it to a back exit where teachers park. I saw her take her long brown hair out of the ponytail she wore a few minutes ago. She was hyperventilating, her breathing was all over the place as she gently scratched the cat's head.

She changed a lot physically. Anyone could see that. She didn't have her eighteen years old body but instead was replaced with a mature version. Her hips had gotten wider and she had a lot more chest than she did before, her ass as well. But I know, deep down I know that her insides are completely wrecked. I could tell from one look at her that she's a mess.
