Chapter VIII

'Vic, I-I don't know what to say.'

'You don't have to say anything. Just think about it. Please?'

'Okay, I'll think about it.'

'Thank you.' he said before kissing my cheek and walking away.

What had I gotten myself into?

[Vic]

I knew what I had told Jaime to do was bad, but it was the truth.

I wanted him back in my arms so bad. To hold him, to kiss him, and to be with him. I don't know what he'll say but at least I tried.

When I got back to my bunk, Rachel was on her stomach, her mouth open just a little. I couldn't help but feel a little bad that I'm doing this to her, but it's for the better.

My parents always taught me, if I wasn't happy in a relationship, then I should just leave so I wouldn't hurt the person... Too much.

By the time I woke up, Rachel was already packing her bags.

'Where are you going babe?' I asked.

Ugh, that word felt so wrong on my tongue when it wasn't directed towards Jaime.

'I just got a call and uh I have to go back to work because one of the employees got hurt. I'm really sorry.'

'No it's okay. You have to do what you have to do. I'll support you all the way.' I said, getting up and walking to her. 'Need help with these?'

'Yes please.'

Finally, Rachel was no longer here, meaning I could finally get my answer from Jaime.

I walked back to the bunks to see if he was there, but only Mike and Tony were in their bunks, asleep.

There was a sound coming from the back room so I decided to go in there, to my advantage he was there.

'Hello Jaime.'

'Hi.' he said, not taking his eyes off the tv. He reached for the remote and turned it off. 'Uh what's up?'

'Rachel just left and..'

'And?'

'I wanted to see if you had an answer for me yet?'

I expected an immediate 'no' but instead I saw Jaime jump on my lap, and before I could say anything, he crashed his lips on mine, sending those flying sparks everywhere.

'So is that a yes?'

'It's a hell yes!' Jaime smiled as he got off me. 'But we gotta set some boundaries.'

'And what would those be?'

'We can only hold hands, kiss, or cuddle in private. Mike and Tony don't have to know about this, but I mean, come on. They're eventually gonna find out so there's no point in trying to hide it around them.'

'You're right. And I agree to these terms and conditions.' I laughed.

'And also, we can't be too close in public either.'

'Okay.'

I smiled, I was once again, the happiest man alive.

[Jaime]

I was going to tell Vic that I wasn't up for the "secret relationship" that he offered, but then I thought "hey, why not?"

It was definitely gonna be a thrill and challenge.

When we finally got to Australia, it was still nighttime.

Vic was in his bunk and I was in mine. I decided to go over to his bunk and cuddle a little.

I wrapped my arms around him slowly and kissed the back of his neck.

'Hey babe.' I whispered.

'Jaime, what are you doing here?' he whispered back.

'Just wanted to cuddle with you. I can't do that?'

'Of course you can. Let me turn around.'

'Okay.' I smiled.

My arms slid out from under him. He quickly turned around, his lips inches away from mine.

This was so wrong, but it felt so right.

I cupped his face in my hands and ferociously pressed my lips on his. His hands slowly traced my chest.

'Wanna go to the back room?' I said before biting his lip.

'Of course my love.'

I smiled and got out of the bed, followed by Vic.

We slowly walked to the back, so we wouldn't wake anyone up. The door was closed quietly behind us.

Vic pushed me up against the door and started kissing me. His kisses trailing from my jaw to my stomach.

He quickly took off my shirt and started kissing down my torso. Vic unzipped my pants and pulled them down. I helped him take them off.

I was completely in the nude now.

He smirked up at me and I smiled back knowing what was about to happen.

Best night ever.
