The Council of the Gods

Start from the beginning

As the brothers continued to bicker, more lights began to flash over their thrones.

The gods and goddesses each appeared holding their respective symbols, making them easy to identify.

With such a godly presence, some of the weaker spectators began to crumble and fainted.

"See what you've done? Now how will they hear you while unconscious?" Poseidon argued with Zeus

"These children are too weak" he spat

Though he said that, the pressure began to ease off slightly.

"Remove your shackles" Zeus commanded, his voice boomed

Immediately, the pressure completely erased from the area. I suppose Zeus wasn't the only person using his powers on us.

"I'm only doing this as a favor to you brother" Zeus grumbled

"I thank you" Poseidon smiled

As everyone got back to their feet, they eyed the gods warily, afraid one of them might decide they wanted to kill for fun.

It was a funny sight, here we are, the heroes who saved them; and the first thing they do is try to make us kneel to them.

"I'm tired from the battle, if not for wanting to get this over with, I would have rested for a few months!" Zeus seemed angry

"Grover Underwood!" Zeus shouted

Poor Grover was caught off guard, small brown pellets feel from his back

Zeus looked at him in disgust, but didn't say anything

"With the death of Leneus, The Council of Cloven Elders is in need of a new leader" Zeus told him

Leneus? It was unfortunate, but it appeared that the plump satyr didn't make it to the end

Grover seemed to realize what Zeus implied

"I will gladly accept the position, Lord Zeus" Grover bowed

"Good! I enjoy when mortals know their place!" Zeus beamed a smile

"Nico DiAngelo!" Zeus shouted

"That's my cue" Ryuuen flashed me a smile

As he walked up, I could tell something bad would happen

"For bringing your father into the fight, and taking on the remainder of the Kronos army; we will award you any reasonable request" Zeus mumbled

I suppose he wasn't too happy having to owe a favor to a child of Hades

"Any reasonable request...hmm...."

I hoped he'd ask for something normal, like a weapon, but knowing Ryuuen; he'd try to humiliate Zeus

"I can't help but to notice, that my father doesn't have a throne here" Ryuuen smiled

Zeus raised an eyebrow at his statement

Hades seemed to understand what he was going with, and began to smile widely

"So here's my request, build a throne for him, to the left of yours" Ryuuen made his request

The eyes of Zeus began to grind his teeth furiously. A vein appeared atop his forehead, almost big enough to burst

"That's quite the request, my dear nephew" Zeus tried to keep calm

"But is there another possibility-" Zeus was cut off, making him angrier

"Unfortunately brother, I believe my son is correct. It has been millennia since you last refused me. After helping so much, I believe it only right for you to make me a throne" Hades smiled
