Duke grabbed his shirt and walked out with the keys.
"Come on Dell. You gotta work with me." I said.
"You see a future with Duke?" He asked.
"...Yeah." I said.
"Like a family type of future?" He asked.
"...Maybe. I don't know why?"I said.
"Cause I see you being pregnant soon." He said touching my stomach.
"Boy." I said smacking his hand away.
"Do not wish that shit on me." I said.
"Why not? I'm ready to be an uncle." He said.
"So? I'm not ready to be nobody mama.. and I can't even get pregnant." I said.
"Why?" He asked.
"The situation with my ex. He ruined all that for me." I said.
"If it's meant to be that shit will come Ameerah." He said.
As if he was right on cue Duke came walking in.
"You ready?" He asked.
"Yeah get him so I can get dressed." I said.
"Aight." He said.
"Say bro. You shorter than I remember." Odell said.
"Man fuck you." Duke said.
I couldn't help but to laugh even when he's drunk he's still funny.
I got dressed and made sure I had all my stuff and headed for the door. On my way out I ran into Roman. No surprise there.
"Wassup? You leaving?" He asked.
"Yeah my friend is drunk and so am I." I said.
"Let me walk you to the car then." He said.
"No that's ok. I can handle myself." I said.
"You sure? I don't want you to run into any trouble." He said.
"The car is right across the street. I can make it." I said.
"Aight well do yo thing then and I'll see you later or something." He said walking away.
"Yeah or something." I said.
The next day
"How drunk was I last night?" Odell asked.
"I think you were pretty out of it if you kept yelling at me." I said.
"Damn I'm sorry twin. Ion even like raising my voice."
"It's all good. You was just too lit."
"Who was too lit?" Ryan asked.
