"Hank! What are you doing?" Dad asked as Uncle Hank took pictures of Dad walking out of the jewelry store.

"Testing out the new equipment and getting a picture of you while your still young and innocent" Uncle Hank and I laughed

"Well I am getting married once, not four times" Dad says

Uncle Hank nudged me and said "oh look your Dad's a happily ever after guy"

I laugh saying "yea it only took what 15 years to do it"

Dad gives me a look and we all laugh.

We both look at a blonde women who's walking out of a building with her friend.

"Detective what are you looking at? You just bought a ring" Hank says

"That's not what I'm looking at-"

"Come on don't ruin her for me" Hank complains

"Nah she wears Armani, makes low six figures, drives a BMW and is falling for a senior partner at her law firm. Nothing but trouble for you Uncle Hank" I say

"I was just about to say that" Dad says

"Why can't you just look at her ass like the rest of us?" He tells Dad and then he points at me saying "and you, spend way too much time with your dad"

I laugh as me and Dad look back at the women, she smiles and turns into this eyeless monster.

"What the hell?" Dad whispers, he sees them too?

"Dad...did you see her?" I question

"I did, maybe we ate something, now get in the car" Dad says and I listen

The day goes by and as I'm walking to Mom's car I make eye contact with some kid and he turns into a beaver, turns back to normal and he runs away scared.

I get in the car "hey kid, how was your day?"

"Freaky" I breathe out

"Oh c'mon schools not that bad" Mom says

"Yea I guess so"

We get home and I see Aunt Marie in the house

"Aunt Marie!" I say as I run to her to give her a hug.

She smiles and says "oh hello Elizabeth, hi Juliette"

I go up to my room and when I come down Dad is already here talking to Aunt Marie.

"Sorry for the short notice"

"What you didn't know she was coming?" Mom asks

"I meant to call, sometimes I mean to do something and I assume I usually have" Aunt Marie says as I sit down

"Well how you doing is everything okay?"

"Not as okay as I used to be"

"She was telling me some pretty funny stories about when you were little" Mom says

"Dead frog in the microwave?" Dad says and I laugh

"Among others, come on give me a hug"

They hug for a few seconds before Aunt Marie whispers "we need to talk" and I act like I didn't hear
