The worst sound in the world
People say it's tears, shouting, nails on a black board and suffering.
But I find the worst noise is the rustle
of my her bag and the sound of the stove clicking.
That may be the sound of someone looking for their keys or making pancakes in the morning.
But I hear a cigarette being looked for and it being lit at the stove. All because of me. Because the fight we had. The stress I caused. Even if I'm right it hurts. I'm bringing her closer to her death.
