Six - Joining the Other Side

"So, the plan is that we get to the outlet, spend our life's savings, then go eat. And then we shop more. Correct?" Mira says, asking for confirmation.

"Yes and then we'll steal all the stuff we can't afford and sell it on the black market for bunnies."

"Perfect."

After about five more minutes of small talk, they pull up at the outlet where people buzz with excitement. Over fifty stores with hundreds of people walking in and out. The sun is shining causing a warm glaze in the air. The twenty-two year old girls get out of the car and look around.

"Which store first?" Melina asks.

"Um..." Mira glosses over the variety and points to a popular clothing store. "That one."

"Well, ladies first," Melina chuckles watching her friend dramatically walk.

They enter the store, oddly enough to see it empty except for a worker. They move forwards towards the lady.

Mira kindly asks, "Hi, excuse me, is this store open?"

The lady looks up and cruelly smirks once she notices who entered. Melina feels a sense of dread wash over her and shoves Mira behind her as she takes a couple steps back.

"Melina Volkovna, daughter of Охота." She states and a man speeds behind her.

Vampires.

The man was blond haired and brown basically black eyes. He wore a red cap and a navy blue shirt. The lady was blonde and had brown eyes too. Siblings.

Melina keeps a calm face despite her nerves. "Who wants to know?"

Three other vampires come behind them and Melina's fear rises as she steadies her heart beat.

One, who has brown hair tells her, "You killed my sister."

Another says, "Your father killed my father."

Melina's face sets to a frown and guilt makes its way into her body. She hears the doors lock and sees the other two who didn't speak lock the door.

"You need to pay." The woman from earlier says and lunges towards her. She pushed Mira to the side causing a shelf to fall over and grabbed a stake from her bra and stabbed her. The woman moaned in pain before she desiccated on the floor.

She then quickly grabbed her gun and shot at two of the other vampires but one sped away before she got to their heart. The wallpaper got inflicted with gun wounds and three shelves toppled over destroying part of the store.

Her neck got grabbed from behind and she uses a method where she used the vampire's weight against them to knock him into a wooden shelf, some of the wood inflicting him, painfully. She then grabs a vervain covered knife that was hidden in her blood covered sneakers and stabs him with it causing him to dessicate.

She sees a girl standing with black veins running down her eyes and the vampire attacks her. She steals a knife that Melina was holding and stabs her in the side with it. Luckily a nonfatal area. Melina elbowed her on a pressure point that works on vampires and slammed her in a wood chip while they were weak. She broke off a part of the already destroyed shelf and stabbed her in the heart with it.

She then looked around for anymore yet not seeing one. She looked down to count the dead bodies.

One, two, three, four... four. One missing.

She looked around with one hand on her gun and another nearing the other wood stakes she had hidden. She spots Mira hiding in the corner with two stakes in her hand.
