S3P2 Chapter 27: The Truth of the Outside World, II

"I don't know, but I doubt she would do something like that." Historia said

Historia sighs and she sadly looks at the window.

"You're duch a dummy... Such a dummy. You'd play it off a second you're embarassed... I just never know with you." Historia said

Someone knocked on the door from outside the room and the guard opened it.

"We're here." They heard Y/N's voice

"Come in." The guard said

Eren, Mikasa, and Armin entered the room with Levi.

"Your majesty." Y/N, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin bowed infront of Historia while Levi just looked at them

"S-Stop, it's not an official position yet." Historia told the three

Historia looks at them for a moment.

"So much has happened, hasn't it?" Historia asked

"But all I did was stare at the south sky from within the Walls." Historia said

"It's an important duty of yours just to stay alive." Armin said

"Mmm." Y/N nodded

"I'm glad to see you're all acting like usual." Historia said

"Well, that's... It just hasn't sunk in for us yet." Eren said

"Shall we get this going?" Hange asked while Y/N helps her pick up the papers on the table

They were in a meeting with Premier Zachary and every high ranking military officials in the Walls, discussing about what they found in Eren's basement

"The Early Life of Grisha Jaeger. The Extent of Our Knowledge of Titans and their History. Information about the World Outside the Walls. The only people who knew about the existence of these books are those here in this very room. These were gained by the efforts of ten living scouts and the 119 other who are not here today. Today, and in the Queen's presence, I would like to assess our situation and establish an agreement in terms of our course of action." Zachary said

"Scout Regiment Commander Hange Zoe." Zachary called Hange

"Sir." Hange stood up

"The Scouts have lost a great deal, including Erwin Smith, but in exchange for the many heroes that we lost, we have retaken Wall Maria and stolen the Colossal Titan's powers. However, humanity that lives within the Walls remains in a precarious situation. It would be a relief were Titans are the only monsters we had for enemies. However, the true identity of the enemies we've been fighting are humans. A civilization. You could even say... the world. According to these, we're a special race called the Subjects of Ymir who can turn into Titans. There's also a belief in the outside world that we may rule again. That's why the world wishes to eradicate us, Subjects of Ymir for good. The King of the Walls stole his people's memories and made them believe humaniy outside the Walls has perished. He surrounded himself with the ignorant and babbled about paradise. Grisha Jaeger's mission was to find the King that had the Founding Titan within them and he later achieved that mission. He entrusted the Founding Titan to his son Eren. In order to wield the Founding Titan's full power, it must be possessed by someone with royal blood. However, even if that person possesses the Founding Titan, they're enslaved by the King's ideals which only leads them down the path of humanity's downfall. That is the vow renouncing war. However, Eren was able to control the Pure Titans in the past to escape a dire situation. So, it may be possible even without royal blood for Eren to wield that power as well." Hange explained
